  1. Sweet lil thing looks like she's about to cry!
  2. OMG Rachel!!! That was AMAZING!!! I think her performance bought her a ticket to the semi-finals next week. That was something else!
  3. I think Josh. Not that I don't think he deserves to stay, but I don;t think he's built the fan base the others have. Neither has Rachel, I don't think. But I could be totally wrong! Not sure about Marcus' fan base. He's my least favorite of the top five, but he's also great. I think for sure Melanie and Chris are both safe.
  4. Sorry. I see what you mean now, and you are correct. The reason I think I didn't see it the way that you did is that the age of consent here in GA is teenage--and everywhere else in the 50 states, isn't it? But I think it's exceptionally young here in GA. I get the rest of it, too. Chester Molester could be the well-respected football coach at your local university OR the skeevy perv who lives next door in his mother's basement. Or the groundskeeper at your apartment complex. There may be "profiles" and such, but there is no one that anyone should ever dismiss as a potential perv just
  5. Chris Rene's performance tonight (his own original song): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_nOI4YZyP5U
  6. While I would never defend the racial comments, who would argue that the sexual attraction to children isn't a "hard wiring" problem in someone's brain? People without crossed wires don't find children to be sexual. Period. Thankfully, 99.9% don't.
  7. LOVE Melanie. LOVE little Rachel. Josh and Marcus are AMAZING! But... I'M VOTING FOR CHRIS!! If they would always let him sing his own original songs...I wish they would. He's such a talent, but his style is all his own. He doesn't need to be emulating other artists. He needs just to be himself and do his own thing. That's what he shines at.
  8. Chris Rene...original song... WOW!!! Loved it! That was so nice to listen to. So much talent on the show, but I have adored Chris the most since his first audition. And tonight I thought he sounded GREAT!!
  9. The news this evening reported that the family had been contacted by DFCS in the past because neighbors complained of a lack of supervision. This is NOT to blame the mother--there's no excuse for what happened to this child, and the person responsible IS responsible for this awful crime...but...if the kids were regularly unsupervised and there was such a monster living/stalking there, that they were not adequately watched over would not have gone unnoticed. It would have made it that much easier for that person to plot (and carry out) this atrocity. Children need to be supervised. It's
  10. I'm so sorry to hear that happened to you. It makes me when I hear about people taking advantage of small businesses like that. Just for the record, I your business!! You came through for me at the last minute when I needed a suit for my son to wear at my daughter's wedding. And he looked so sharp! And you made the service personal, and took such good care of us. I spread the word about your business whenever I can. More business comes through word-of-mouth than anywhere else...and your business is da !!
  11. Sorry I missed you today! I got a bunch of really cute, warm clothes for JJ's kiddos! THANK YOU!! I also left the husky there for kelwil to pick up. Hope that was OK with you...she suggested I leave it there since I was headed over there today anyway. You can't miss it...it's a large stuffed husky with big blue eyes, there behind your counter! kelwil, it needs minor surgery on its tail (there's a small rip in the seam), but otherwise it's in like-new condition. It still has the store tag on its ear! I hope your niece loves it!
  12. I'm headed your way shortly...thanks!
  13. A friend just shared this with me, and I thought it worth passing on: One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really friendly. So I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!'
  14. Yep. We'll work it out in plenty of time for it to be a Christmas gift. No worries.
  15. Yes, it will easily fit in your car!! LOL! Unless you drive a SmartCar! I'll PM you my number and we'll coordinate a time. I'm not sure what time I'll be going over there...I haven't planned that far yet! But we can set something up. I'm glad it will get a good new home! My daughter gave it to her nephew (my grandson), but he doesn't play with it, so it's stuffed in the closet, lonely and unused! It needs a little girl to love it!
  16. Adding...sorry to take over your thread. I'd like to come by tomorrow. I'm shopping for warm clothes for Johnny J and his wife's project for the kiddos on the reservation. Do you have any specials on kids' clothes, by chance? And maybe I'll find a few extras. I love your store!
  17. It's the size of a small child. Define "humongous"...LOL! You're welcome to have it if your niece would like it.
  18. You want a large stuffed husky? Because I have one if you do...
  19. Eh, I was a bit too exuberant. The original thread title said, "ASTRO'S GONE!!!" So you know, there was nothing left to the imagination. So I changed it. I think Astro and Drew leaving was perfect tonight. The five they have left have been my favorites, and are the best, since auditions. I adore Chris. I was blown away to learn last night that his grandfather wrote "Rockin' Robin." For obvious reasons, I have loved that song since back in my skating rink days as a pre-teen. And I have loved Melanie since she first walked on the stage. And even though he's scruffy, I have always tho
  20. I have minimally wavy hair that falls short of being either curly OR straight. It's just wavy enough to not be able to add some smoothing stuff and look good, and just straight enough to not look good if I try to use some product to accentuate the wave. I am cursed with the hair no one wants--everyone wants either straight or curly. I am both, with no compromise. I LOVE the Aussie products. I use them all the time. But as AGG suggested, with my hair type, nothing works better than blowing it out with a brush, then using MINIMAL amounts of a flat iron to get the wrinkles out of my sorta-wav
  21. Well I am sorry. I didn't like him at all, and I was jubilant that he was gone. I wasn't thinking of those who weren't watching. I'll be more mindful in the future. Thanks for making me aware. And I'm sorry someone you liked is gone. Sorry for you.
