  1. You are doubting what? That I don't like you? That I don't respect you? Those would be wrong assumptions. Don't, even for a second, doubt that I disagree with you politically and business-wise. When your ideology interferes with common sense or good business judgement, I wanna just slap you upside the head, though. You are right that there is no other locale-specific site that can compare numbers-wise with P.com. And the fact that there even IS another site is directly attributable to your business model. In my opinion, your 1st Amendment-based excuse for allowing several
  2. At least he's a bit of a challenge, unlike you. At least he's honest enough to post from his life experience. I disagree with Pat on almost every single political item, but I respect him. Even though he's wrong. You, sir, I hold in total contempt.
  3. What???? No 2,000 word diatribe full of "facts" and "statistics" and quotes from esoteric liberal sources? First time I've ever seen you speechless.
  4. Madison Co. AL (Huntsville) has an interesting program. In addition to the regular weekly garbage pickup, they also have a curbside junk/trash pickup each week. If you have an old TV or diswhasher or boxes of junk or whatever, just sit it on the curb. The County picks it up and hauls it away. The scavengers know the routes and they circle the neighborhoods ahead of the County's crews grabbing up "treasures". They use a dump truck and some jail population for labor. Now, the financial aspects...it's a service the County provides. Cost? Diesel fuel and one county employ
  5. Well, that, combined with a questionable advertising program. Or, should I say, non-advertising program. To rely on P.com for momentum and visibility is a sure fail. There MAY have been a successful county candidate in some election in the past that has had a big presence on P.com, but I can't think of who it might have been. Certainly none of the recent state-level candidates have made any commitment to P.com advertising. Not Maxwell, Heath, Gravely, Braddock, Richardson...none of them. I'd speculate that the experienced pros who actually manage campaigns would take a look at
  6. I was under the impression that the public access channels were provided at no cost by the carrier as part of the franchise contract.
  7. Sorry. I nodded off. Were you saying something important?
  8. That you get a whoppingly large monthly retirement check from them?
  9. I just got home from Hiram going north on 92. The tire lanes were dry, the edges and middle between the lanes were a bit wet.
  10. Hummmh.... My U-verse statement comes by mail. If I log on to the site, it asks me to go paperless.
  11. The only time the American people are safe is when Congress is in recess.
  12. Why limit it to just 3? Are you saying the other two are trustworthy?
  13. Typical leftist response. ALWAYS somebody else's fault, ain't it?
  14. Actually, if Greystone would get something going in the fiber optic arena.... That's what happened in Chattanooga, the EPB (the city electric utility) started doing fiber optic internet. I had it at my business and the speed and capacity was phenomenal.
  15. Probably on the magnitude of the flatulence emitted by pseudo-scientists who "research" climate based on who is paying the grants.
  16. Well, maybe it is the computer operator then....
  17. I take it that Skyline hasn't yet gotten there to pump the BS out of your computer?
  18. It's really interesting how the leftists in this country, when they are not busy attacking and belittling peaceful Christians, can defend Muslims for cutting people's heads off.

Just switched to U-verse a bout 3 months ago. Now have 16MB internet, land line, and 450 TV channels including the premium movie channels for $155/mo. Previously, had ATT DSL, land line, and DirecTv (with much less programming) for about twice the money. Besides the much better price, speeds, and reliability, I got two premiums (a 32" TV, and a $50 gift card) with a 24 mo deal at a flat price. The only short-comings were the switchover on the land line didn't keep the voice mail settings and the call blocking I had previously set up. And, the remote for the U-verse TV is
  21. I just got off the phone with Skyline. They are now on their way to your office to pump out your computer. The BS meter is at a dangerous level, and there are serious environmental concerns.
