That is so sad!! My husband and I were just talking about him last night!! We loved him so much!! I only had him as my principal in my freshman year and then Mr. Williams came. I just adored Mr. Hatcher!! What a wonderful man! Prayers definitely go out to his family!!

first of all i am so sorry this happened to your husband!! according to the georgia drivers manual (page 40) if police or authorized emergency vehicles, which utilize blue or red lights, are using either/both sirens and lights you must pull over onto the right hand shoulder and stop if possible until the emergency vehicle has passed. Intersections must not be blocked. in all cases pull to the right and stop. According to the manual it is not a request. my neighbor's daughter was outside one day- she was only about 1 1/2- and she was playing in the middle of the road- cars coming- no parents to be found- my daughter was outside- who was 13 at the time- and she picked the little girl up and went to the neighbor's house, knocked on the door and rang the doorbell and no one came to the door- so she went to another neighbor's house where she thought the mom might be and no one answered that door either.
