  1. Same here... now I am sitting on the couch nervous! I heard them and I am near the old courthouse in Dallas.
  2. I like the non-traditional names. I like them to be a little different, but not freakish! Who wants to sit in class with 3 other kids that have the same name?? And, I love the girls that have boy names! I think it is SUPER cute! Hubby wouldn't have it when I was expecting our girl... maybe I'll win next time!
  3. EVERY bit of that was TOTALLY me when I was a teenager!! lolol I was the MEANEST sleeper in the world! When I would sleep over with friends they wouldn't even wake me up! My older brother would knock on the door and RUN when my mom sent him in!
  4. I checked toys r us online, nothing. i checked borders, nothing. barnes and noble i will have to call because i had some questions. BUT, i did find some stuff on amazon.com when i went back and looked again. i had never used amazon before, so i didn't realize that the price you see isn't always the lowest price, so i found some more affordable stuff. and i found ONE item on Craigslist for a great price and it is right in Acworth, so I can go see it before I buy it! Thanks for the suggestions! If anyone thinks of anything else LET ME KNOW!
  5. Maybe you could find atrunk or treat somehwere?? Last year our daughter was only 9 months old. We dressed her up and took her to the people's houses we knew, in our neighborhood, over to our family's houses etc.
  6. I need to find Clifford the Big Red Dog toys... I found books.. and books... and books/. VERY few toys though. I looked on pbs.org, no luck. On scholastic.com I found lots of books, but no toys. On ebay, most everything is used or rediculously priced. Any ideas where I can just go shopping and find something?? I don't mind buying used, but on ebay I can't see it first... TIA
  7. TANNER!! If your insurance would prefer a Wellstar facility, go to Kennestone.
  8. Their office is right off the square, across from Sal's. If you are at Sal's and look out the front door they are on the side street to your right. There is always a white van in front with their logo on it.
  9. I had so many problems out of them that I just had it turned off. I am too scared to get any kind of dish, because everyone wants me to sign a contract and I don't want to because I haven't ever really heard anything good about them. I figured I would rather not have cable than deal with them anymore. I get PBS so my kid can watch Elmo, that's all I care about! Sorry your fight was crappy though... Call them and complain, maybe they will comp some of it back to your bill.
  10. My daughter's birthday is in January, so I do all the Christmas and birthday together, then sort it out and decide which gifts she will get for which occasion. About 3-4 more things and I will be done with both! We started over the summer, took a break and now we are back at it!
  11. I got it before I made it as soon as I logged into the site, I hadn't clicked on anything yet. Kapersky blocked it.
  12. I can stand a lot of things... but I can NOT stand a thief!! My hubby and I work very hard for what we have! (I am sure the same is true of your parents!) What makes someone else think they can just walk in and take what they want?!?!? We struggle to pay for what we've got - go get a job and buy your own stuff, ya loser! Gah, gets me fired up! I am SAHM and the thought of being here everyday, alone with my daughter, scares me to death. There are days when I don't even open my front door! But then I think - If I don't, do they think no one is here and this house would be a better target? - or
  13. I have a great, low carb recipe. 12 eggs 1 lb browned sausage 1/2 c shredded cheese a couple shots of milk mix it all up, put in 9x13 pan and bake (about 400 for 20-30 minutes) - just watch it and you'll see the edges brown. Make sure the middle is cooked all the way. It is great because it is easy, low carb and you can cook at at the beginning of the week, cut it up and put it in bags and have quick and easy breakfast all week!
  14. WHen I was younger I had bladder/UTI/kidney infections ALL THE TIME! As far as how to get rid of it completely, no clue - BUT, get the AZO cranberry pills (can't hurt, even with antibiotics) and drink water like a fish! It will keep you going to the bathroom and make it hurt less. Also, if it hurts to go to the bathroom, there is a prescription pill that they can give to to take the pain away.
  15. you can rent a pressure washer at HD. and we have an electric sander if you need one. tell your hubby to call my hubby and he can help. he just did our house and driveway a couple weeks ago as well as working for another woman and doing her house, deck and patio the week before.
  16. the spools are smaller. you can buy it off the boldt at walmart for REALLY cheap. It's between $.97-$1.27 a yard (i am almost positive that's right) and there are a ton of different colors. but i told you i have a ton of white. i am going to try to dye it tonight and i'll let you know if it works. if so, go buy some green Rit dye for $2 and just dye some. even if i don't have enough for all you need you can buy a few yards and still save money. you'll need about 5-8 yards depending on how you do it.
  17. last time i bought something from a fundraiser mine cleared (i wrote it over the weekend) that tuesday or wednesday. it was REALLY quick.
  18. That was the funniest thing I have read all day! You tell em!
  19. Yeah! And you can use the more round ones, you know that if you look at them from the side they are kind of like a tube?? Does that make sense??
  20. Try buying the OnCor brand frozen "pork ribs". Although it has been years since I have had a McRib, I think it was just about the same thing.
  21. When I was a kid my aunt used to tell me: You are the company you keep. When I was younger I never thought about it, but now I say it to my nieces and nephews all the time!
  22. I recently called ... and called ... and called... Not even sure who I ended up speaking to by the end. I was told that if we had HOA they would be responsible for the costs but the city/county would install them. Because we do not have HOA we should start a petition, get as many neighbors as possibel to sign it and take it to the monthly city/county meeting and present it to the comissioners. Again, it has been a couple months and I am not sure whether (after all the calls and transfers) I was speaking to someone from the city or the county - I live in the city limits so that is where I
  23. I would call the cops and report it, but do it without making a scene. Maybe just go to the police station rather than call them out to your house. But I would ALSO install some sort of a camera to catch them so you will have proof. Keep doing what you are doing (as far as purposely leaving the $3 out) so that if you do catch them on camera you can catch them actually doing something wrong .. besides breaking in, that is. When you file your report maybe you should speak to a detective of some kind. Someone who can help you catch them. In addition, you really should try to better secur
