Good post Jessica LaC. Local authorities are advising people to PLEASE STAY OFF THE ROADWAYS and STAY HOME if at all possible. This helps keep the roadways clear for emergency crews coming in. It also helps prevent people from ending up in an emergency situation themselves, which has happened several times during the last few days. There will be plenty of time in the coming weeks for help from citizens. Local authorities are advising to please check on your immediate neighbors if possible. That's a great way to help.

Keep us posted with what you find out. The Paulding shelter isn't listed with the other Red Cross locations so I've wondered myself.

It's called trying to encourage safety for our Pcom members mam! Be safe everyone.

Trying to help others is a GOOD THING. However, the DOT and COUNTY OFFICIALS are urging people to PLEASE STAY OFF THE ROADWAYS, and STAY HOME if at all possible. There are a ton of official vehicles trying to get in to places to help people, and keeping the roads clear helps them get there. It also prevents more people from ending up in emergency situations too. They encourage people to please check on their immediate neighbors. And otherwise, leave the help at this moment to the officials. There will come a time in the near future for community clean up and help I feel sure.

Good reminder. Mold and mildew will be at record highs after all this water. Hang in there allergy sufferers!
