  1. OK. I've got a great mechanic but he kind of specializes......very reasonable. Sounds like there are better options nearby.
  2. So sorry Low! I haven't had one, but my son did and I about had to lay down watching the doctor fix his! Look at the bright side....you might get some good drugs.
  3. Also agree with PT. I haven't had frozen shoulder, but did have "frozen hip". The Dr. actually never called it that, but I have had a hip replacement and a few years ago I started having a lot of pain. I was afraid the replacement had gone bad, but the Dr. advised he thought it was the muscle and recommended PT. First thing the therapist did was stick his elbow in the muscle that was locked up and about sent me off the table! He then recommended a few exercises. Seems I was pretty good at keeping the bigger muscles strong (squats, lunges, etc), but not the smaller muscles that run along
  4. I certainly hope the county has a means of recovering the cost of paving from the builders when they sell the homes in these subdivisions.....like a lien on each lot. One could hope.
  5. http://www.ajc.com/high-school-football-scoreboard/ I've been watching this. South up 25-14 on Alexander in 2nd quarter. It's gotta be getting close to half time.
  6. After getting to know Dr. Fraker at South, I would be surprised that she would want an "academic only" school! She was very visible and involved with football and band at South. (She may have been just as involved in other sports/activities.....I'm just attesting to what I personally observed.) I'm glad all parties are talking. There may be more restrictions to simply disbanding/dissolving the existing booster club coming from the school district--not necessarily the Principal. For what it's worth, when I was really starting to get involved at South football, I went to an East Booste
  7. I have LOTS of bankers boxes with lids. They are not moving boxes, but should help with the smaller things. I will bring them tomorrow.
  8. I finally took the plunge last summer. I went to Dr. Wolfson....... the best. Official dr. to the Braves, Falcons, other eye doctors. Call me chicken...I only have one good eye and I wasn't going to take any chances. I have never had any problems with contacts, but had gotten more frustrated with them the past few years. I couldn't believe the difference! My vision in my one eye that I had treated is now 20/15! I haven't seen this good in .........ever! (I only had one eye corrected---I am very near sighted in the other but can read up close without reading glasses. I think they
  9. I agree with most here, mother is creating most of the problem. One thought I haven't seen addressed: Why will she not let the father's mother pick up the children? Unless the woman is an imminent danger to the children, this would be the ideal situation. They could visit their Grandma and see their father when he gets home from work. Poor babies.
  10. So very sad to say good-bye to one of the best men I have known. A brilliant mind with a sweet and humble spirit. Rest in Peace, my friend.
  11. My husband & I actually had this conversation. He stated that Waddell's attacker was trying to rape her. He just didn't succeed. Sounds like she just kept fighting. I believe Mr. BarbedWire said he heard this from an interview with her husband.
  12. I know of a church that meets there weekly.....or did. I will check and see if they still do. I can't think of any particular group, but I do recall seeing advertisments about other groups meeting there. Sorry, no details in my memory; just meeting at the airport stuck out enough to get my attention.
  13. MillCreek all the way! www.millcreek.net Check out her website and portfolio. She is extremely affordable and easy to work with. She also is very quick to respond and make changes that you request. And you can tell by looking at her portfolio that her websites are very attractive.
  14. Have you been drinkin'???? Do you need a ride home? Let me know .....I can be there in five minutes.
  15. Thad, I get the paper seven days a week. Do you want me to save and bring to you? Do they not provide papers at the hospital?
  16. Saw this from Louise on FB today: Update on Dad. He has gone backwards in his recovery today. The doctors wanted to send him home and have him better before doing the second operation, but due to incidents earlier today, it looks as though they will be performing surgery within the next few hours. Please keep him in your thoughts, and my mom too. — with Thad Morrison III.
  17. Melissa said "no". They were watching his vitals and she had not heard from the doctors when I was there.
  18. Stopped by for a short visit this afternoon. Melissa says Thad is doing much better. He was busy texting someone and quite awake and "with it" while I was there. Melissa said he was getting onery, so she knew he was feeling better.
  19. Louise, your mom has my number too. Tell her to call if she wants to talk. How about you and your family? Do you need help with anything?
  20. My wisdom for the day: DO THE PHYSICAL THERAPY! If they tell you to do 10 reps, do it. Then do it again. Work your way there, but push yourself. The physical therapy will be the difference between a limited recovery and a 100% return to life! You will feel 20 years younger if you build those muscles back up to support those bionic joints. Good luck!
  21. We had the same surgery on our pitbull, Lucky last year. I gotta tell you....we live on 40 acres and he was not used to a leash. He wore me OUT! I had to put the leash on him any time I let him out. He is one of those dogs that HAS to run. He leaps. Like in the cartoons...leaping....leaping. He has to get the energy out I guess. I could usually walk 3 or 4 miles easily, but trying to hold on to him on a leash after his surgery???? One HALF mile. He wore me out. Good luck Blondie. Lucky still runs too hard and I ends up limping sometimes, but I would do it again for him.
  22. Fedex guy told us he thought the gas station there "blew up".
  23. We had the same problem. Comcast was capable of running a line from the closest neighbor on the road to our house (about as far from the road as you). Comcast said they could but we would have to pay for them to run it....about $3000. We have been loyal to Comcast since moving here 20 years ago, so my husband called some VP of something or other and explained the lack of logic in not working with loyal customers. They ended up working with us and just charging the cost of the cable--several hundred dollars, but way better than $3000. Good luck.
