  2. It is only through the kindness and generosity of people like you that these kids can fulfill their dream of living life as an ordinary, American teenager.....Listed below are some of the GREAT students who need families for the upcoming school year. Won't you please open your heart and your home? Jiongci from China: 16 yrs old, Straight A student who had numerous awards for singing and academics. She want's to be a teacher. Her teacher says she is respectful and caring, responsible and kind, and is always in the top 5% of her class ranking. Luise from Germany: She loves to bak
  3. I will put in my 2 cents. I have 2 identical twin sisters. They are both lesbians. My mom's sister is as well. I don't think anyone "chooses" this life....it's way to freaking hard. I think we are born this way, and God did it for a reason. I know other twins (male/female) who are also gay. All I have to say is that love is better than hate...............
  4. Is anyone interested in hosting an exchange student this coming school year? It's an amazing experience for your family. PM me if you have any questions............I will be happy to let you know which students are still available. Remember.....there is NO COST to you for this! You will fall in love....and that is payment enough!

  8. No matter what, someone will always say something about a different part of town or a different school. I have been here (from NY) for 7 years and wouldn't trade it for ANYTHING! I live in a lovely S/D (the Overlook) in Dallas. I love my home and my neighborhood. My kids get along just fine in school and my eldest graduated in the top 10 from PCHS and is now an honors English major in her Sr year of college. I have a foreign exchange student in PCHS. I also have one in MS and one in ES. We have had no problems at all. Where ever you end up....welcome to the neighborhood. These ar
  9. I think people will try you BECAUSE you deliver. That is an advantage over so many other places. Also, I suggest you fax/email local businesses for lunch delivery. Many people like me never leave their desks, or may be a one man operation and can't leave!
  10. I moved here 7 yrs ago and met all of my friends from pcom. Some of the ladies hosted game nights and there were some dinner meetings that everyone attended! It was great!
  11. ME too.............took those horse pills at night! My mother said the SAME thing with all 6 of her pregnancies!
  12. I am so sorry for you. It was touch and go with my mom for days. Sorry for the typos in my previous post. I really need to wear my reading glasses when I am typing on my ipod!! lol
  13. BTW, I forgot to mention: If you are interested but there is no more room at your home school, they can go to another school as long as you can get them there. There is 3 spots per school in Paulding County.
  14. My mom had endocarditis and nearly died from it. She ended up in the hospital for 6 weeks, then in a nursing home for 3 months on IV antibiotics and had to have her heart valve replaced for the 4th time a few months later as a result of endocarditis. I have MVP and have had open heart surgery, and my Dr says antibiotics are no longer needed, but after watching my mom go througg that there is no way in hades that I would ever chance it. I take my antibioits and my DDS is fine with it! Endocarditis is VERT serious!!! BTW, I just take 2500 mgs all at once an hour prior to my dental work!
  15. Thanks Shan. It truly is the experience of a lifetime! They generally arrive mid to end July and stay until the begining of June, although you will want them to stay later . You are in PCHS, right? I think there is only one more spot available there so please let me know ASAP. They either come with a phone or can get their own....you aren't expected to supply one. The first year I added it to my plan, but I am not doing that anymore. They all come with a computer and will skype home. They are not encouraged to communicate with their family often because they are supposed to immerse the
  16. These are all high school students. You choose your student from a list of available kids. Prior to selecting you will have the opportunity to read about them and read a letter they have submitted to their potential host family. The only requirements are: You must be at least 25 yrs old, able to pass a background check and can not be on any government assistance, the student must have their own bed (no sofabed/futon/air mattress allowed), they can share a same sex room with a child at least 12 yrs old (may make allowances for 10 yrs), and your school must accept the student. We have permi

  18. I know this is a very long read, but please read it through to the end. I need your help! I am working with PIE, a student exchange program here in Ga. I need to place 5 students for the upcoming school year. BEFORE YOU DELETE this message, please let me tell you why you should take advantage of this AMAZING experience!! Let me start off by telling you you DO NOT need to be married, a parent, heterosexual, rich or young! You need to be at least 25 and be able to pass a background check. That's it! This is a wonderful opportunity for grandparents who want a younger person around t

  22. BTW, I LOVE this thread. Most business owners/managers on hear complaints. Very rarely do we hear when things are going well! Keep praising those people who deserve it, but never hear it. It's a wonderful way to brighten someone's day. BTW, I completely agree with Chick Fila. Their customer service is amazing! THey must slip their staff happy pills! lol
