Wish I had hired him. He's done work for us before, but someone I know said her husband did theirs and could do mine. OMG! It's like climbing a ladder. The rise to the top step is 10 inches, the next is 9, then 9, 10, 9 1/2, 10 and 7. And that is just the first HALF of the steps. Can you say WRONG? Needless to say he will be giving me NEW steps............ Next time I stick with the professionals................

Yep....we are a proud member of the Roller Skating Association, and probably 50% of rinks nationwide now sell beer and wine....and there hasn't been a single accident. Believe me, we thought long and hard about this. I argued AGAINST it for years......but our Kennesaw location hasn't had any issues and we don't anticipate any. BTW, for the record, 98% of the people who are buying beer/wine are the parents who are forced to sit there while their child attends a 3-4 hour birthday party. They have one or two drinks over that 3-4 hour period.....they aren't skating and they aren't drunk.

BTW....in order to get the license the city requires that a certain percentage of sales comes from food. More than 30% of out total revenue is from food sales, which exceeds the requirement. We are also in the process of a $50,000 cafe renovation to be able to serve even MORE food. We are very proud of the job we do, and are pleased to have served the community for more than 30 years. We are FAMILY FRIENDLY, very active in the community, and very involved with local charities. Everyone knows if they need something, just call me. Just so you know...... While the manager was making sure all of the kids were safely under the playground because of the tornadoes, some teens got into a fight, which the manager broke up. Then it was reported that one of the kids may have had a gun...and THAT is why the police got called. Better safe than sorry.

We are about 1 mile from wayside. I went on the porch and it was dead calm....no wind, but I could her a roaring coming from up 278. That's when we decided to hit the basement. FREAKING SCARY!! Thank God nobody was hurt!

Davy Jones passed away today......he was 66 yrs old.

I think that is completely inappropriate...and I wouldn't want my young son to see that.................although HE would love it!!!

Overlook and Vista Lake. Vista lake isn't completely developed yet, but Overlook is, and there are some nice houses for sale in there. I live there and the rooms in my house are HUGE! I have a 5 bedroom, but there are also 4 and 3 bedrooms.

If you can't host, maybe you can help me find homes...... This doesn't have to be Paulding....I can place kids anywhere within 125 miles of here. You never know who may want to host a student!!!

Thanks.....but we do it for totally selfish reasons. We get as much, OR MORE, out of this than our students do. My daughter told me that we are making a family all over the world, and as of right now I have a place to stay in Ireland, France, Norway, Venezuela and Brazil, should I choose to visit! Actually, my daughter and I are going to Ireland next September to attend "my daughter's" wedding. I haven't seen Nikki in 10 years, but she wouldn't dare get married without her American family in attendance! Actually, she had a baby last year and called me on the phone to tell me she was pregna

I have to say that this has been the most wonderful experience, both for our family and our students. It breaks my heart that some of these kids never get a home.....and they miss out on an amazing experience. It breaks my heart even more that some many American families miss out on this experience.... Please think about hosting. It is a 10 month commitment....but you will have a new family member for the rest of your life. Don't forget: You don't HAVE to be married, young or have children. You have to have a bed, and love....that's all! By the way, I skyped with my new studen
