That is sad. Seems I remember her having her own show back in the late 60's early 70's that we used to watch. She sure could sing.

Aww, always loved Mel Tillis.

We went to the one at Crossroads Saturday and had a great experience. Having a good manager on site makes a big difference.

He should have been dead decades ago.

I can't even imagine, and I cry for them. That's all I can say.

Al Franken - Democrat Senator - Accused of Groping
juleebella replied to AcworthDad's topic in RECENT TOPICS
What Al Franken did was disgusting, no question, but he owned it and apologized. The president of the USA admitted to worse, never apologized and got elected to the highest office in the land, free world, etc. Am I the only one seeing double standards here? -

I won't argue with that. Sadly there are way too many women/girls who have dealt with the same things, and hopefully all these instances are now shining a spotlight on this. -

Maybe, but at least he owned up to it and apologized, and she accepted his apology. http://thehill.com/homenews/news/360709-woman-who-accused-franken-says-she-accepts-his-apology?utm_source=fark&utm_medium=website&utm_content=link&ICID=ref_fark -

In the Hope of Newness. OK, so maybe late afternoon/early evening is not the best time to eat there, but good grief! Four employees, and just the two of us. Place was dirty (we should have left, but there aren't many options in New Hope on Sundays), and we felt like we were intruding on their personal good time gathering. Food was good, but it took at least 25 minutes to get it. I'm talking WH, not Legal Seafood or Ruth's Chris. Pretty bad experience.

Oh, I know. Just don't stuff the turkey until you're ready to put it in the oven, and the don't over stuff/pack it and you'll be fine. And it's very tasty!

I've always thought the stuffing vs dressing was a regional thing. Stuffing goes inside the bird, which in older days would work better in colder climates, and dressing is cooked outside of the bird, which would have been safer in the South. When I lived up North we always had stuffing (which was more than just bread stuffed in the turkey), and then I moved here and married into a Southern family. Their recipe includes sausage, cornbread, bread, celery, onions, sage, poultry seasoning and chicken broth. And a couple of eggs for a binder. MIL used to bake it in cast iron skillets (yum), bu

That would be so great!! My first dinner date that I had with my husband was at Shipfeiffers's on Peachtree St. downtown. Lots of memories from that place. First gyro I ever had. Been hooked ever since. And I need xtra tzatiki sauce always!

What have we come to? A pregnant widow with small kids cried about her conversation with the President of the USA because of many reasons....not knowing his name, he knew what he signed up for, etc.? She, she did that for political reasons?!? Really?!? Anyway.............talk amongst yourselves.

And what was this topic about? This one could be split by two or three.

This is disgusting. La David Johnson will be laid to rest tomorrow. And his wife, kids and Mother will be there. Bless them. I can't even imagine their pain. Just shut up! And act and speak like a freaking grown up! How anyone can excuse this behavior is beyond me.
