  1. ....and I thought that *I* was the only one that thought that! I guess I need to try it, then.
  2. These aren't really "series" authors....it's mostly essays in book format but they are absolutely hysterical. Laurie Notaro Celia Rivenbark Susan Reinhardt My most recent find is only available in Kindle format...but for $3, you couldn't beat the price. It's called "Mancation (or Pete and Bert's Almost Gay Adventure in Baltimore)" Plot: Two straight men, a radio talk show host and a homicide detective, take a trip together, only to discover these days that everyone automatically assumes they are gay.
  3. I heard on the radio this afternoon that he's been denied bond. That's probably in his best interest. Now that his name and mugshot has been published, there's probably going to be a long line of people wanting the slap the you-know-what out of him when he eventually DOES get out.
  4. I don't wear them anymore, but when I did they were gas permeables. What I used to do with mine was place the contact on my index finger then drop one drop of saline directly on the contact, hold my eyelids open with my thumb and forefinger to keep from blinking it out, then just place the contact directly one the eye. When you blink, the excess saline pops out and the contact is stuck on. I also made sure that when I put them in (or took them out) I was leaning over a table with a paper towel spread out. My contacts were slightly tinted, so if I dropped it, I knew that it was so
  5. If it's Jason, I'm gonna be MAD!
  6. I saw the show Wednesday evening (paid for it at work the next morning cuz that was WAY past my bedtime!). I thought it was neat that they played on top of the marquee of the Ed Sullivan Theatre rather than inside the studio. I didn't realize that was the first time he had actually been back to the theatre since 1964.
  7. Members of our Armed Forces, active and retired, are the real American Idols. You have every right to be proud of your daughter; I'm thankful to have people such as her willing to serve. Welcome home and thank you for your service.
  8. Cons: iphone 3G does NOT have a video camera....don't know about the 3GS. Also, if someone sends a picture to your phone number, it pops up with a msg saying (Name of person) has sent you a multimedia message. You can view my message within the next 7 days via the web or at www.viewmymessage.com using user id xxxxxxx password yyyyyy. So in order to actually SEE the message you have to go to the website, punch in the user id and password.....which sometimes works and sometimes does not. Major pain in the rear! I've already told everyone to email me the picture rather than sending

  11. My two cents: I think in his crazy little mixed up world, he wants his wife to be the one to leave him instead of him leaving her. I think he believes that if he left his wife now that all of this mess has come out, he would look like a first class a$$ (which he is). So, he's giving her all the reason in the world to do it. (examples: he tells everyone at his original press conference that they were trying to work things through, but then he takes off to Argentina. He says this woman is his soul mate, but he's "trying" to fall in love with his wife again.) I think he truly belie
  12. You'll be FINE!!! Go get hitched, have a great reception....then let the good times roll!
  13. I haven't heard squat about Bubbles the Chimp! I thought chimps lived a long time....so is he still alive, did he die or what? And if he died....WHERE IS HIS PRESS COVERAGE???? In all of their wall to wall coverage, CNN and Fox has not said jack about Bubbles.
  14. How truly wonderful and sweet! Congratulations to your family and wishing you all many, many years of happiness!
  15. Years ago my grandmother had a chi and a german shepherd. Her stove went out so sears sent out a repairman. Stove could not be repaired that day because parts had to be ordered. When the parts came in sears sent out a different repairman. When he knocked on the door he asked my grandmother if her dog was put away. She told him that he was up in the apple orchard with my grandfather. About that time pancho (the chi) ran up to the door and began yapping. He told her that dog was the one he was talking about. The other repairman had left him a note saying the shepard was tame and wouldn't bother
  16. Did y'all see this? I couldn't get the video to imbed....so here's the link instead: Chihuahuas vs Mountain Lion
  17. Maybe not 911, but since the time stamp on this is 11pm and some people actually did have to go to work the day after the 4th, then I'd be calling the cops, too.
  18. Maybe they'll quit soon....it's thundering and lightning on Due West at 92.
