Y'all have completely lost it. My screen looks like it always does.

I've heard that. Gonna be a whole lot different around here when we don't have SPLOST taxes at all. How long is the original one supposed to stay on the books?? After the stunt the BOC pulled at the meeting on the day of the run off I doubt many will ever vote for that SPLOST again, they raised our taxes anyway!!

Now that is a great idea!! But he can not be an accountant from Paulding County

LOL I love when you get fired up!! The increase we just got was from our BOC not the schools. Even after we voted to pass the SPLOST for roads, public service and parks and rec, this is a different tax. That will go up next year when the tax bills come out so we will get another increase, next time for the schools. I don't think this county is ever going to pass another SPLOST, they keep lying to us. I know I won't vote for the regular SPLOST ever again, the schools are different.

Seriously if you want to go to DirectTV, please find someone (me or anyone else) that has it already. You will get $100.00 off your bill at $10.00 per month for 10 months and so will the person that refers you. I already had one person from here do that for me. It sure was nice to see the $10.00 credit on my bill.

Cool, they can go downtown Dallas on Saturday then in their neighborhoods on Sunday. My kids are grown but my daughter just moved into a subdivision, I think I'll sit over there and hand out goodies. It's the ONLY thing I miss about living in a subdivision. Trick or Treat Village at Paulding Meadows is on the 23rd.

LOL I thought the same thing. But they do look comfy!! -
The wording on the ballot specifically says for maintenance, renovation, completion, and expansion of new and existing buildings. Sounds like they can use if for maintenance. Or am I reading this wrong?? I agree we don't need any new schools, but several of the older schools really could continue to get upgrades and we might be able to get rid of all the trailers by expanding those existing schools.

Without SPLOST, upkeep and building repair will have to come out of the general funds. This will further reduce funding that is available for teachers, administrators and students.

Thank you for posting this.

For some reason the link won't work BB. I even tried to copy and past it.

Wow, hope the only damage was the window. Looks like your alarm system did it's job. I cannot say enough good things about PCSD, I know I couldn't do what they do every day. Are you going to the Appreciation Day on the 9th CC?? I'm going to try and make it.

Ah Blue, no doubt my taxes are going to increase anyway, why not let visitors help pay it?? Besides schools have a lot to do with home values or did you miss that part??

Get out of my head. When we went through all this with the last SPLOST and everyone was so upset about it passing, why didn't I see any posts on what citizens were doing to check where the $ was being spent?? If I can vote a SPLOST for Parks and Rec, I certainly can vote for it for schools. Good schools increase property values and Lord knows we need all the help we can get. Where is all the info about how the last SPLOST was misspent??? BTW, I don't even have a child in school anymore. My children are grown, the youngest is 23 but I still know the value of good schools and

How do they stand it?? Are there actually people living there??? I'd just buy them a battery, put it in a pretty bag and say you really want to make sure they stay safe.

A real green house. I'd love to grow and sell plants. I think I'd like roaming around those greenhouses in January. -
That is hysterical. Yep, you should try to market it.

Congrats Griffin. He's a great person and very deserving of this honor. -
Thank you for putting up the signs. Maybe folks will be a little better about taking their stuff out. I just don't understand why Parks and Rec won't do anything down there. It defaults to their watch.

Finally went today. Had the Sagnaki, and a Gyro, it was good. Hubby had the shrimp pasta and a greek side salad. It looked very good. We were stuffed!!

Too many people look at the bottom line price, they aren't worried about details like inclusions and exclusions. But when the contract arrives they expect you to complete the project with all your exclusions. A Change Order is like a dirty word these days. We have been under bid so many times on projects, when we run the numbers it's really impossible to get close to those low balls.
