Glad I went to Ellijay but I was disappointed in the Festival itself. Cost $2.00 to park, $5.00 from private lots starting about 1/2 mile from the fair. $5.00 to get in, $2.00 for a bottle of water...........all the food was very, very expensive.......not just overpriced. Didn't get much of a chance to look at the vendor's wares, the sun was very hot and there was no shade!! On a better note, we went to some of the orchard stores and had a blast. Freebird, I don't believe Sam is in dire financial troubles. I believe the OP just wanted to get a rumor started, there is no proof of any of this, just innuendo. I think this thread should really be titled Beware of Life Force Ambulance. Sam has done more good for Paulding County than anyone I know. He is dedicated and caring, whoever Mom3K is they should really be looking over their shoulder. I would guess as the OP of this thread they will eventually be taking someone to court as well. So does anyone know the name of the new company that wants to see Clark's fail?? The guy that owned Premier and owes us a lot of money was with them at the Public Appreciation Day. I was floored when I saw him, cannot believe he wouldn't even return a phone call regarding his debt. He wanted to destroy Sam with his company and it backfired, now he's apparently using someone else.

Looks like someone has been talking to or is working for the New Guy in town. I assure you many have tried it, nobody can compare to Clark's. The last guy that tried to start a competitive company went belly up in about a year. He was what I thought was a friend, borrowed quite a bit of money from me and my husband. I trusted him and his word, he let me down and now owes me a lot of $, guess he wasn't such a good friend. In fact, he wasn't a friend at all. Bad mouthing your competition gets you nothing but broke.

Sam Clark is a great person, he has given a lot to this county and it's citizens. Yes he is the coroner, I seriously doubt the county reimburses him for all his gas for the ambulance company. They probably reimburse him for his gas when a person that has passed on is transported.

Surepip I agree the old Dixiecrats were OK once they got through the Civil Rights movement. But they are no longer involved, Nathan Dean and Tom Murphy were the last of them in Georgia. Mo3, I cannot bring myself to vote for anyone that is affiliated with the Welfare Party. I have never voted a straight ticket, I won't this time. If I do not believe in the Republican candidate, I will vote for a third party or not vote in that race at all. I cannot bring myself to vote for anyone that has a D next to their name, not right now, not during these horrible economic times. So if that is considered being blinded by party lines, so be it.

OK, we are between Woodrow Kay and Holly Springs............happens often. Happened twice tonight. One shot, a slight delay followed by 4 quick shots right after that. I'm thinking it might be a crazy neighbor that always thinks someone is out to get him, but it scares the crap out of me every time!! At 9:00 at night?? It's kinda scary.

Almost every night we hear what sounds like gun shots. Just heard what sounded like 1 shot followed by 4 more, the dogs in the neighborhood are going crazy. Anyone else hear this???

No I can't vote in that district but since I live in Paulding it will have a big impact on what does or doesn't get done here. OK so Will is a nice guy, what experience does he bring to the table to represent District 19?? All I can say is thank goodness for Bill Heath, he's had my vote from day one!!
