I never saw an answer about Gilroy yesterday. Just looked it up, yep it's known for it's garlic crop. You can smell it when you go through. Smells pretty good for a while. Didnt' you say there was a fire near there?? Are the garlic fields burning?? That would be a shame.

Girl, this thread is not about the news, it is not about the fires. We are glad she has been found and would like to talk about it more without your negative comments. Like I said, turn off the TV and go to the internet to get the weather. There are several sites that do nothing but give weather forecasts. Now please, if you have nothing to add to this discussion about the girl that was found after 18 years, please don't post in it.

I have noticed the wildlife is gathering more food for winter than I have ever seen. If it's any indication of how long this winter will be, they are gonna eat good............thanks to my garden.

This is exactly why someone stayed day and night with my mom when she was in the hospital. I know the nurses are busy and have several patients to take care of but 30 minutes is ridiculous...............sorry if I offend any one in that field but it's just not right. The cost for being in the hospital should at least pay for quicker response for patients. Still praying Tara!!

Check with the unit and see if they have a "closet", they may have a shirt that fits him. If not resale shops are a good start. A brand new one will run about $30.00. He needs a neckerchief, some patches, a belt, a hat and a WEBELOS hand book. I'd wait til the orientation meeting and see exactly what he has to buy. Some units provide part of the stuff for the new scouts. Since it's a new unit, I'm not sure. PM me when you get done and I'll see what I can round up. I think I might have a shirt or two around.

Oh yea, that Scoutmaster has it rough. It's great you got a chance to see a boy led troop in action.

Cool!!! I'm so glad they have a good pack over at West Ridge, I think the Scout Unit has a relatively new Scout Master as well. Scouting is sooooo much fun. With him being 5th Grade, he'll move right into the Troop next year!!

That's fine with me, I haven't tried that yet. Change is good. Let's see if 1Novella can make it Wednesday. Friday's are hectic for me and that's quite a hike from my office. Not that I can't do Friday but I prefer Wednesday.
