~ You know what comes after Thanksgiving?

Such wonderful people, I miss them. I don't think my son ever knew Grace and RL were not his "real" grandparents. -
~ You know what comes after Thanksgiving?
Cathyhelms replied to Lady Raider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Maybe tomorrow, today is traditionally the day but I'm too tired!! It's gonna be a great Christmas, I'm just so glad I have my mom and dad and my grandson so close by. Last year was with everyone just moving here, I'm so glad though. This year we really get to enjoy it. -
Durn, I thought you were offering to come put my tree up.

Whoops I forgot to add we actually have two houses on one account. My Daughter and Son-in-law are temporarily living in the Pool House. So that summer monthly fee is for two houses (approximately 3600 sq ft) and the pool.

Don't forget to put out the cranberry sauce!
Cathyhelms replied to MeWhoElse's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Well, I almost forgot the cranberry sauce..........but remembered at the last minute. Funny how that and rolls seem to be so elusive on such a busy day. -
I did Black Friday once about 10 years ago, it completely cured me. I'm thinking there are going to be good deals from now till Christmas Eve, I'm not risking my life to get something that I probably could live without. Did you go LR??

I know Nancy at West Metro, she taught my son to drive. He was tough because he was scared to death. I tried but couldn't do it. We have known Nancy for years, she is a wonderful person and very, very patient. I think once she helped my son to get his license, she decided to open the school. I think she realized if she could get him to pass, she could help almost anyone.

We live in Yorkville and I don't think our electric bills are that high. Usually runs about 400.00 in the Summer with the Air and the Pool pump running 12-14 hours a day. Our last bill was about 135.00, pool pump comes on automatically if the temp drops below 38. Could be because we live in a "fake" stucco house. The exterior siding has an R value of almost 8, it's like having a storm window on our house. With the 19 in the walls, our house is well insulated even with the 22 windows we have, most of them are large 6 foot windows. In fact the south side of my house has more windows

Wow!! What an incredible story!! My grandson was born at 31 weeks weighing 3lbs 15 oz, he was in the NICU for 5 weeks and also went home with a monitor. He is a true miracle, like your Brandon. He's only 7 but is completly "normal". He is 100% boy, I feel he too will go on to be very successful. I hug him every day!! Thank you for sharing and good luck to your son, he sounds like he has found his calling. Who knows, he may have been born to discover something that will change the world. Go Brandon!!!!

Well, I guess it is my turn to ask for prayers/thoughts for someone
Cathyhelms replied to Baileybleu's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Prayers for your friend and her family. -
My mom also got a discount for her disability, she is legally blind. It was more than the exemption for her age. You need to talk to the people at the tax office, they are wonderful!!

I'm with you, I don't like all those spices. Hubby grew up on sweet potato pie, says my pumpkin pies are very similar. I do make him a sweet potato pie from time to time, just like I make the pumpkin. I think the rest my family would not be happy if I didn't make them pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving.

Soooooo that's where all the pumpkin went.............

I don't like all the spices in bought Pumpkin pie. I use more cinnamon and just a little bit of the others. I actually use about 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon per can. I have an extra can here if you want to drive to Yorkville and get it.

Here's the thread. Anyone got a cornbread dressing recipe?? I use biscuits and cornbread crumbled together for mine.

Are we related?? With the exception of adding sage and eggs to the stuffing, you have described my bird and my house on Thursday morning.
