  1. Wow, you will be sorely missed. When is the big move??
  2. You might want to check out some of the software available for young drivers now. I haven't seen it but I have some friends that swear by it. Of course it doesn't replace on the road training but it gives them situations without actually having a crash. We had simulators when I was in HS, didn't come close to the real thing but it did let me know what I was supposed to do if someone opened their car door or some kid ran out in front of me. I didn't kill anyone but that door sure got tore up.
  3. West Metro is wonderful. I was like you, way too nervous for my son to learn "right". I made him nervous, he made me nervous and it just didn't work. Nancy took over, if she can teach him to drive she can teach anyone BTW, this was all behind the wheel training.
  4. Wow, how did I miss this?? Great news on a special day!! Happy belated b-day Daddy LPPT.

  10. The wrinkles and gray hair really make you look distinguished.
  11. Sure, I'll just post it here. Those of you that have ever eaten an Italian Beef sandwich in Chicago know how good this is. Corner Beef Stands used to be the norm. Lots of yummy food up there. 2 cans beef broth 1 ½ Tablespoons minced garlic 1 ½ tsp salt 1 ½ tsp coarsely ground black pepper 1 ½ tsp crushed red pepper 1 ½ tsp oregano 1 ½ or 2 lbs Thinly sliced Angus Beef (not shaved) Bring beef broth and other ingredients to a rolling boil, reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes. Let it cool and pour over sliced beef. Do not cook the beef or it will get tough. Let beef
  12. Sent you a PM, the stuff is not cheap but considering a beef sandwich costs about $7.00 you can get a lot more for your $ making them yourself. I haven't tried roasting and slicing the beef myself yet. Just make sure they slice it thin but not shaved.
  13. OMG Chicago has the best pizza. My daughter moved here recently from Park Forest, my oldest still lives in Joliet. Grew up in the Cicero/Berwyn area. Best pizzas were Als and Salernos. My sister lived in Brookfield and they had a place called Cashini's (sp ?) Now those were the best pizzas ever. Aurelios has good pizza and I have just about mastered Italian Beef sandwiches. You want the recipe???
  14. It stopped and I smelled burning when I was kneading some dough. I hate to just have it sit there but it's useless now.
  15. What???? You put a hole in the garage wall??
  16. Across from the hospital on Business 6. Little, older, white block building.
  17. You can call him Son for short.
  18. I am not crazy about Pizza Farm Pizza, their other food is yummy but the Pizza's, so-so. JMO
  19. Sam's Club in Hiram, across from Mellow Mushroom. There is a Johnny's in Rockmart, in the same shopping center as WalMart. Hey Neighbor!!!
  20. Me too!!! Yummy!! Take and bake is the best!! I've often thought about just ordering the pizza uncooked and popping it in the oven, seems like it would taste much better and be hotter.
  21. Darlene's is OK but I really, really love the Sams take and bake pizza. The Wal-Mart one is not the same as Sam's. There's also Pizza Depot in Rockmart this is pretty good.
  22. I got it..........SONNY BOY!!! Can't go wrong with that.
  23. I was just chuckling because I couldn't find it anywhere when I wanted to call and place an order. I too was spelling it Audrey's and got nothing. Next time I went there, I realized why. Thanks for helping out Mark.
