  1. What one sees is their perception of my obvious joke, Mrs. O! I don't walk on thin ice when I am out in this world. But, there are people who would try to lead me over into thin ice.
  2. No, Mrs. O, the doctor took care of it! What I might want to do is what I want to do in the first place. I am not here to live up to your expectations, and you are not here to live up to mine. I don't see anyone complaining but you. I do apologize for offending you, Mys O, I didn't know you felt that strongly about my condition!
  3. This in no lie, LTD, read it and weep!It didn't happen because of Obamacare.
  4. Hold on, S & D's N! Employers lobbied congress to get these things passed. Insurance companies are employer oriented because of the lobbying they do, they are not employee oriented. Money talks, and BS walks, S & D's N! The Money barons don't like Obama, nor his care.
  5. I lay some of my political views on them, and remind them they are in my house, and I have no problem getting along very well.
  6. I think there should be no tax breaks for Christians, when they put money in the plate, either. I wonder how many wantabee Christians, and even strait out hypocrites, would think less of Christianity, then. What do you think? I get to talk all I want too, RW, with very little interaction! Nevertheless I love to read what you have to say!
  7. Even groups cannot get group rates, because employers fixed it where it was their group. I can get group rates, now, but before Obamacare I could not. For years I could not even join a credit union, because Corporations bargained that out, too. But, now I am in a credit union, that Lockheed used to have pinned down to only their employees.
  8. The doctor told me to come to his office immediately. Upon seeing the doctor, he gave me an IV, which made my skin start lightening back up. I ask him what he used to do that. He said, "you had an excessive amount of BS in your system., so I gave you some BS reducer."
  9. Among the sayings and discourses imputed to him [Jesus] by his biographers, I find many passages of fine imagination, correct morality, and of the most lovely benevolence; and others again of so much ignorance, so much absurdity, so much untruth, charlatanism, and imposture, as to pronounce it impossible that such contradictions should have proceeded from the same being. You know who said that first, Thoughts, but I agree with him 100% on that saying. There are few Christians, in my opinion, but there may be a lot of wantabee's. On the other hand there may also be very few actual want
  10. Yes, I think! I am just answering the question in the topic, however! I don't know enough about fish to make a comment.
  11. When facts are actually known, by people, they had to work through a mountain of emotion to find out the truth. Sometimes the truth is so lost in emotional history that it is simply impossible to find. Our ability to remember makes it possible to travel back in time, but when we do that we find a lot of past emotion, instead of bear arse fact. If you think I am kidding, or that I am just foolish, do your own fact finding of your past. We re-experience feelings connected to fact, which is not necessarily the actual fact of the situation. A group of people can experience the same event
  12. People are emotional beings. Logic, and fact finding, come only after setting our emotions aside long enough to think in logical terms. There is nothing wrong with us, we are just human. People who U-N-D-E-R-S-T-A-N-D how we are know that they have to work through other people's emotions before a point can be reached. Sometimes we cannot compare apples to apples because of all the oranges in the bunch.
  13. It took me a while to get used to the Idea of gay marriage. I was raised a Christian, even though I was cautious about a lot of my co Christians. There was just TOO MUCH EMOTION, with them, and not enough LOGIC to suit me. The only thing that kept me in association with them is my own emotional LOVE. I looked at some of my family and friends, and said (to myself of course) "you ain't no damn Christian. A Christian actually tries to be more like Jesus than you do." I have accepted gay marriage, but it took changing my attitude.
  14. I got my flu shot, Monday. That was way early this year. I had been hearing that people were getting summer colds.
  15. People who can work from home save a lot of time. I work at home most of the time, but I have a sister who is gone, from her home, 12 hours a day. That is because she gets to work 2 hours ahead of time, and doesn't leave until 2 hours after work hours. She does it in order to not be sitting in traffic. She lives on Sandy Planes Road, in Marietta.
  16. Thanks, S & D'S N! If it was not government mandated, Cobra, an employer wouldn't give a rats arse about an employee whom they had fired, or that quit for good reason, bad reason, or no reason at all. It's just bad business for a person to allow their employer to have anything to do with their healthcare insurance. It's a conflict of interest if there ever was any such thing as a conflict of interest. Pay people enough money to get their own healthcare insurance is what employers should do. If they can't buy it with what they make give them a raise is what they should do. Employer
  17. What makes you think Bush has come clean from fault, S & D's N?
  18. What is flat out stupid G B, is allowing somebody you work for to have anything to do with health insurance benefits.Anybody who will do that doesn't mind somebody else making choices and decisions that affect their healthcare, while working for the same person on a job. As for as Cobra is concerned that is government benefit, not employer. They don't give a tinkers damn about your health insurance, they will also tell you not to let the door nob hit you in the arse when you leave them. But, that is only because they don't want sheeze on their door knob. The government, on the other
  19. As you can see I am no friend of retailers, commercial networking, nor Chinese products. I like farmers, construction workers, home made products and hands on service provider of all kinds. I like small business. I like to see the owner of the business when I make a transaction that will benefit both of us on a mutual basis. I don't like big old monster businesses that suck up everything they can manage to suck up, and use people against other people to do it.
  20. NEVER allow your employer to have ANYTHING to do with your healthcare, especially how you are going to pay for it. Georgia is a right to work State. Your employer can fire you for good reason, bad reason, or no reason at all. Then the Government may have a way for you to get Cobra insurance for your healthcare needs, but it's a heck of a lot better than your employer messing around with your healthcare before or after they fire you. Relying on your employer to provide affordable coverage regarding your healthcare insurance is worse than having your retirement depending on the stock
  21. People who depend on you, for what you buy from them, don't want you to know that they are depending on you. Regardless of whatever else is going on, one of your needs is to survive. In fact survival is your most critical need. It is the most basic of all instincts. If your end stinks but it don't tell you this, then you are a dead person. You don't need anyone else to tell you this. But, you also don't need anyone else telling you a lot of other things. People will have you working for them, which is okay on a mutual balance. But, people will have you working for them when the
  22. People need technology, they think, but that is not necessarily so. Not at the expense of using home equity to purchase a piece of technology is it needed. Technology is sold to you, and the sellers see you coming through the window. They say to themselves, "here comes a sucker." Richard Proenneke, was a naturalist who lived alone in the high mountains of Alaska, at a place called Twin Lakes. He lived there for about 30 years, and depended on very little technology, except what was in his brain. This man is a shining example of using your own head, instead of allow
  23. Out of adversity has came all forms of inventions. Of course, inventions are influenced by all sorts of need, but the most critical influence of all is adversity. Things that Egyptians and other early cultures had invented, have had to be reinvented. What can be used in one period of time, may not be of a practical use in another period of time. It became necessary to develop some kind of wheel, out of the adversity of not being able to move large objects. There has been a lot of inventions, by people who need to get things done. Some people are so smart that they have to invent N
  24. Let the rest of your buddies live in a fog of self deception, but yoy need to take off the blinders and deal with the truth as it really is, M D! You will be eating zoocrews dust. You'd better try to keep up, my friend.
  25. If the super rich have created jobs, from the Bush tax cuts; WHERE ARE THEY?
