Thank you, tbw, for saying that to former member. I appreciate it, myself!

If people treat you with dignity and respect, then it's only appropriate that you reward them somehow, for their good behavior. But if they treat you in an undesirable way then you need to put a stop to that right away. Don't teach them that they can get away with that kind of BS. You teach them that they can NOT get away with it. We all teach people how to treat us. If people treat us bad the only reason they do is because we taught them that they could get away with treating us that way. Insensitivity or cruelty comes in many forms. Verbal insensitivity is the worst kind, after actual a

I 'm not talking about we, S & D's N. No, we don't need more taxes. But, we need some money from the people who have the most of it; the SUPER RICH. Buffett will tell you face to face, and flat footed, that it's time to stop cuddling the super rich. They pay a lower percentage than is paid by any of the other people in their offices. Those people's tax burdens ranged from 33 percent to 41 percent and averaged 36 percent. The super rich pays less than half that much tax, on their taxable incomes. They pay 17.4%. They don't do us any favors with paying less taxes on their taxab

Raises in taxes on the people who can afford to pay more is what will build consumer confidence, LTD! Small Businesses need a little brake, in taxes, build consumer confidence in them. In a column headlined "Stop Coddling the Super-Rich," Buffett wrote in The New York Times on Monday that he paid $6,938,744 in income tax last year, only 17.4 percent of his taxable income. "That's actually a lower percentage than was paid by any of the other 20 people in our office," he said. "Their tax burdens ranged from 33 percent to 41 percent and averaged 36 percent." Buffett urged members of

There are two very good friends of mine, who doesn't even know I like them a lot. former member and Butterfly Lion, are the two people who mean so much to me, and they don't even realize it. They probably don't like my attitude, but I think their attitude is great. That doesn't mean they are going to change mine, it just means that I like theirs. I don't like to see them personally attacked, but their attitude allows them to protect their character without my help. Even though they have not said so, I'm sure the feeling is mutual, because they have witnessed some of my attitude that t

"I don't care if yoy are absolutely, no doubt, drop-dead certain that what you are doing is right. If it's not working, then change it." Phillip C. McGraw To help Dr. Phil a little, with his saying, I want to ad: "If you don't like something change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude." ~ Maya Angelou I hardly ever have problems with changing things. I have even changed my attitude, several times, because a realization that I can't change the situation finally sinks in. I find it difficult to change my own attitude, so changing someone else's is out of the questio

Fred Jones, and I will be hanging out a lot it seems, sungoddess! I picked up a 30 pack of Bud Lite, from Wal-Mart. I am glad football is starting up. I will be watching it with my foot in Fred's behind.

I just got back from my Podiatrist's office, where I met my new friend Fred. Fred and I have to hang around together for at least the next four weeks. I had been trying to be my own Podiatrist for the last 3 months, but I failed to realize that I needed Fred to hang around with me, in order to get well with my foot problems. Fred is a newfangled cast that I am waring, which can be taken off at night, and put beside the bed. I didn't want to sleep with Fred, anyway, and I'm glad he is going to be sleeping on the floor. I have broken my Jones bone, so Fred's last name is Jones.

I think he will realize, on his own, SpunkyWman, that things happen (like being taken out of the band). Life that is not teaching people about objective fact, is not as good as being comfortable without changes that make you learn. I would be taken out of being able to post on P.com if it were not for such a wonderfan man, like PUBBY! Let me leave you with this thought: If you don't like something change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude. ~ Maya Angelou

Me too, Tt! I didn't go there, last year, but I have been there a lot of times, in my younger days. I used the library, a lot, even before there was an internet. I needed help getting through life with my wife, who was in and out of Emery Hospital all the time. She died with Multiple Sclerosis, even though pneumonia is what killed her, about 30 years ago. It tool me a long time to get over her. They didn't offer philosophy and theology programs, but the library was very good.

Giving the economy back to Republicans, is where the bottom will really fall out of it. Obama was handed an economy that he knew was going to take a long time to fix. The best thing he did was pass a few bills before Republicans took over the House. I know I've posted this many times, but this is what it looked like in 2007, before the bottom fell out of the economy in 2008. Where is middle class working people in this 2007 pie chart? Republicans can do better with the economy , I don't think so. The middle class working people are in the bottom 28.5%; how does that add

I want to thank you, Sponkywman, for sharing your story, and possibly getting some understanding from friends, at the same time. Emotions like what you have described needs to be talked about. Bottled us emotions can be very explosive, but I think you are handling the situation the best you can. Do the very best you can. Some people will be understanding, but others will find fault. After you do the best you can, then put up your umbrella to keep the rain of criticism from running down the back of your neck. You have held your head up, and have kept on trucking, in the midst of terri

I'm N, I appreciate the fact that you are doing that. And, especially the ethics part. There was ethics way before laws were made, which reflect ethics quiet a bit. I am serious, that is more Republicans get ethical instead of just being so emotional about everything, I am going to change my affiliation.

If you are doing that, I'm N! I'm going to be a Republican, myself. My party may be leaving me.

The Old Give And Take, And Take, And Take
Eddie Bennett replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
As humans continue to do what they do, money will no longer be the prey. It will be concentrated into too few people. Unless the prey becomes the rich, people will start preying on other things. I was just watching "The Burning of Briton" as the news story called it. People with NEWS power are calling it RAP. We all know who invented RAP. It's the people with less money. The money Dinosaur is too hard to kill without burning him out, they may be thinking. Some say our kind of hunting and gathering will also result in going after the money Dinosaur's. Watching how other countries have -

You know it's no secrete that humans are hunter-gathers. We can only expect that sense money is the prey, hunters are going to be hunting it, and gathers are going to be gathering it. It's all about instinct and survival. -
The Old Give And Take, And Take, And Take

Business is what government is all about. We pay taxes to run the business organization's in this country, so 10% of us can gather us all the money. We pay for Chinese products that private businesses supply, and then we pay taxes. The amount we get back is the amount that all the organizations have decided on, including the government, who has been paid off by the rest of the organizations. Having the government in on the situation keeps it from being organized crime! -
"Brown Recluse bites are sharp but not initially painful like those of the Black Widow, but a small, white blister is quickly raised, broken, and surrounded by a red welt. An hour or more may pass; then there may be intense pain. The depressed center of this raised, red circle (the size of a dime to a quarter) turns dark within a day. The dead tissue regularly sloughs away, and the bite area scars over in one to eight weeks. Death seldom occurs, but the bite is debilitating and psychologically traumatic. Note: A bite from a brown recluse may also produce an intensely sore lump, even several we

The Old Give And Take, And Take, And Take
Eddie Bennett replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Money being in the 10 percentile of us concentrates to much power in 10%n of the people. I don't care who we vote for, lobbyist's are going to pay them off. But, we blame it on the government. Government is run by our money, but lobbyist's pay of the governing. Government works like any other organization. Government spends a lot of money on the people being governed, but they get paid a lot better than representatives are willing to admit. And, they are not going to bite the hand that feeds them. The tax payers don't feed them, they actually use our taxes to spend on projects that lobbyi -
