  1. I kept up with him for a year or 2. They send him to Cartersville. When the Mrs was working at the Ag Department and riding the express bus from Movies 278 downtown in the moring , I would stop at Kroger on the way home about 10 til 7:00. The meat crew would be markinh down the meat and I got some deals. Now theit system will not let them mark it down below "x" price and they are always selling meat past the expiration date....something Frank would not do unless the customer [like me] was aware. Today when I ask about meat dated this morning or yesterdaywe, they go "Uh Uh Uh we can't
  2. I had an omelet this morning with left over steak, tomatoes, onions and parmesean cheese rustic bread toast. The steak was really really good left over cooked properly yesterday. You do NOT have to spend a lot to eat well.
  3. Store bought Corn Beef, Red Taters, fresh cabbage......Good Stuff. Pumpernickle/Rye Bread and SaurKraut..... I am told my American Scottish-Irish kin helped start the Corn beef tradition for St. Pattys.....I don't know, but I know my Great Grandfather, Robert Bruce Morrison considered himself a Scot even though his great great great grandfather sailed over with many other Scots from Ireland in the late 1600s. Its nice to celebrate a taste of tradition and recognize St Patty today. I don’t know how to make a green Martini ?
  4. Goodness, where to go, who to support? Carruth, Galloway, Carmichael and Leggett. I know all 4. Carruth has a history of Robber Baron Mega Developer support unequaled by all the rest. And I may be wrong, but I believe he is kin to Shearin. His single best asset is his momma who is one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met other than my wife. Nuff said there. Leggett was from the old school and showed no ability when he was on the commission. Galloway is King Jerry in a skirt with a political background clearly showing her position as a paid Tea Part Lobbyist. Why not bring B
  5. I have been air curing 2 New York Strips that are 2" thick. Good old Kroger had them on sale a couple of weeks ago for $5 a pound. That is a deal. Extra Rare as in cool center grilled Steaks, baked potato, Deviled Eggs, Salad, Rustic Bread and Asparagus. A classic, if non-creative dinner. What 'cha got cooking at your house tonight ?
  6. We have a store bought corn beef for Thursday. I know it will be at best, disappoingting. For many, many, many, years we corned our own in January. Frank, the meat department manager at the Hiram Kroger would sell me his left over Christmas Beef Briskets after New Years for cheap.....normally $0.99 a pound if I bought them ALL! Which I was happy to do. They were still in the shrink wrapped cryovac wrapping and over all the years I did this with him, I had 1 brisket that was no good, and he made it good later. The cryovac bag was no longer tight around the meat. I would
  7. Save A Lot has opened a store near the corner of Austell Road and East West Connector. And mailed out a flyer. Its just East of the Hospital. Sirloin Steak for $3.95....[Kroer was $7.00 this week] and one that caught my eye......frozen boneless chicken leg quarters for $0.29 a pound. Go check and see what you spend for a 25 pound bag of good dog food.....its closer to $0.50 to $0.75 a pound. I am rearranging the freezers and plan to get 50-60 pounds. I will thaw 10-20 pounds at a time, salt pepper and some herbs and spice….bake them in a big roasting pan, then stew
  8. Greetings p.comers..... I've missed doing the dinner threads, and cooking in general. I am still having several medical challenges after my 80 days in the Wellstar System last summer, but glad to be alive. I have to be careful walking, especially if carrying something, as well as sharp knives, etc. Wellstar is NOT helping our situation at all. They are stonewalling the Emory Neurological Office by failing to produce my records. The Neurologist wants to know exactly what happened when they killed me, and how long I was without oxygen, etc. We have been trying since early D
  9. This should prove to be an interesting election. King Jerry is coming out of exile it appears. Not wearing the crown, but active none the less.
  10. OK, the correct terminology is chicken "Paws" They are highly sought after by most Asian cultures. This was the first chicken exports we had to China after Richard Nixon opened the door to trading with China, and our larger producers such as Pilgrims, Tyson, etc. tremble when they are faced with losing this market. It is substantial dollars and TONS per year. I don;t like gnawing them personally, but they are quite flavorful.
  11. I and the Mrs thank all of you for your support. Yes, David Austin, and his predecessors, Jerry Shearin et al are all lying bastards. They support those that contribute the $$$$ where they want. Follow the money.....follow the money.....follow the money, From the Civil Suit side there is no statute of limitations. And we do intend to go on the offense again against the sitting commissioners........with pleasure. We will keep fighting as long as there is a breathe left in us.
  12. Thanks!!! I am getting more and more back into the swing of things although I am still having some short term memory challenges and occaisional brain farts. Granddaughter says I am about back to normal......MEAN. It is nice to be able to get out of bed every day. Next week we see how I do with staying verticle, and lots of walking in the Congress Center with the International Poultry Exposition.
  13. The poultry show is at the World Congress Center next week. I plan to be down there all 3 days. For any backyard chicken growers, you can get virtually all the paper and plastic egg flats, 12 egg cartons, etc. for free. and nipple drinkers, feeder pans, etc. Most of our stuff is for the big guys, chicken houses for 10,000 and more birds, and layer houses for 100,000 hens, or more. But they do have some of the manual stuff for the smaller producers. If you want to come and pick up some stuff, get in touch with me. I can probably get you a badge, although it is a bit la
  14. Technically, I guess, it is all over now. Shearin, Austin, and all the rest of the elected local officials have won. Dick Donovan, Lane, Osborne, and all the others District Attorneys dodged and ducked sufficiently to keep their butts out of it while smiling for the camera. The Judges, all of them, who stepped down after costing us thousands while delaying recusing themselves, also continued the injustice for us. We though Toni Beavers would stand up and do the right thing, but instead he looked the other way, and sat there last week agreeing to Melissa's fine of $300 for her trum
  15. But you would have to label it as fiction. No one would believe that it is the truth as it stands. Our biggest hurt is that we believed and had faith in our judicial system. That OUR system was the best in the world. The most fair, the most honest, the best. But its not. It is totally corrupted, with the winner being the side with the most money to buy the lawyers, regardless of who is, or was, right or wrong. We spent all we had, all we could borrow, trade, negotiate for, and/or get our hands on, KNOWING that because we were right, honest, and telling the truth we would win.
  16. In my post concerning Melissa's outcome in kangaroo court from the BS charges she was arrested on when we were evicted October 10th [http://paulding.com/forum/topic/317616-justice-land-of-the-free-home-of-the-brave/] I apologize to the good, honest, hardworking lawyers who live and/or work in Paulding county. I lumped all together, good and bad, and that was wrong. Even though the great majority of our elected and appointed judges, DAs, etc. are as nasty and crooked as can be, I would have to agree that most of the other working lawyers are some great people and I want to apologize to
  17. $300, like 7 days missed work, plus our time trying to run down anyone to speak on our behalf. We know the deputies were sitting there cracking jokes about, "See, this is what happens to people to choose to defy or stand up against the county government". Its too bad Judge Toni Beavers did not get to hear that. he awarded us a Judgement for $269,000 which the county got over turned in the appellate court. And the reason it was overturned oprovided by the appelate court was a total lie. But that does not matter now. They, Jerry Shearin and all his builder buddy pals, and other loca
  18. OK, another chapter in our legal battle with Paulding County comes to a close. When we were evicted from our home of 30+ years after spending over half a million dollars with local attorneys fighting for our 1st Amendment Rights, we had Melissa's court date Tuesday for the lying deputies who accused her of trying to run over them when they tried to block her accessing the driveway to come to my rescue. Note, I had been in and out of the hospital for months. I had reached an agreement with Bank of America, the mortgage holder, then went back in the hospital again. When i got out they sa

  20. I used to use Sandy at Christian Point printing at Merchants Square, but they closed and all the phones are now disconnected. I need some cards in 3 weeks. Suggestions of who to use ? I want a heavy nice paper stpck and raised lettering.
  21. I used to stay in a local bed and breakfast theboardwalk there. I had a Showell Cooking Cook Hatchery about 8 to 10 miles back towards Salisbury Md.
  22. Traveled a little with family as a youngster, but went to work for an International Company Alcan, right out of college, Krupp for 2 years after that and then another German concern for the following 7 years. Had to start my own company to go to work for a USA Corp. I've been to every state with commercial chickens, turkeys, etc., plus some others. Only been to South Dakota. Never made it to Alaska, North Dakota, Idaho or Montana. But I think I''ve been to all the rest. All of the southern Canadian Provinces. Every countrty in South and Central America except French Gunieau. I'
