I disagree. I know many who like to lurk and read/view paulding.com topics and replies without getting involved in partisan politics or religion. And who take offense at crude and/or vulgar language. Having protected forums allows them to come on to the site and enjoy what they want without having to get into the drama so often present in the protected forums.
