    Yay...glad this turned into a bash teachers thread. And, just remember all this time "off" when they take away part of the break at some point to make up this time. Don't want to hear any of you bitching about the inconvenience of it all...just suck it up and bring your own water/sammiches.

    Yup, especially if the roads in your area flooded. Basically it only becomes an issue if the lines in your area area at risk.

    I suspect it's because they have already determined the furlough days, and they are thinking that the roads will be clear enough by then. Even on snow days, the 12 month employees usually have to report at some point unless it's just REALLY bad. I'm just glad they realized that the kids did NOT need to be on the roads today!

    My parents always took us. I have a very healthy outlook of death as a part of life. JMHO... Most live people are much scarier...jmho
