  1. Thank you for the tips. The most some of us know about grass is that it's supposed to be green.
  2. We have Met Life, the inspector came out as neighbors roofs were being put on and swore we had no hail damage. Honestly, the pictures he took didn't look like there was hail damage so I asked how in the world we had none and everyone around us was getting new roofs. He explained that a large number of insurance companies use sub contracted inspectors and they make quite a bit more per roof if it is a replacement. They make very little for partial or no damage. He did tell us there was absolutely no felt under our shingles and that it was surprising that we didn't have numerous l
  3. When you find muscles you forgot you had from all the spring yard work. Dodging bees and swatting all the other flying little pests that get in your face. But on the good side is the after dark sounds of croaking frogs and crickets.
  4. I think I just found it. If it's the area below that says click to configure post options then...............nevermind. Or "Currently viewing all posts. Change threshold ?"
  5. To change the way we see / read the posts ? I don't like the cascade down and having to click on each response to read them, for some reason it comes up that way when I log on at work. (during lunch)
  6. Manwich and Tator Tots. Wanted something quick & easy tonight
  7. Thanks. I guess I know what my tomorrow is going to be like already. This stuff has gotta go..
  8. I hope you slept well last night and today is a good day for you.
  9. Can we burn it or kill it or do we have to dig it up ? It is spreading out so much it looks terrible, we do cut it back each year but the center dead area is too big. I don't want to be the "you might be a redneck if you can hide a car in your pompass grass" neighbor.
  10. Where is a place in our area that you find good customer service every time you go ? We see it once in awhile but it's very hard to find it as a standard operating procedure these days. Maybe if we share not only will we get it( cust. svc.) but their competetion may "get it" also and see that it is even more important now days to care about the customer.
  11. Discount Tire is awesome. Next to Arby's in Hiram. Family and friends use them also and have for years, it is one of the few places where you can still find real "customer service". They aren't just nice, they go the extra mile to treat each customer just like they are the only customer they have that day. We always get the insurance and if ever needed they treat you the same as the guy walking in to pay for a whole set of new tires, same thing if you just go in for a free rotation.
  12. When I went through there going south on Thornton Road they had all southbound lanes closed at Maxham Road and had everyone turning right to go around and back up Skyview. They had a patrol car blocking traffic from turning onto Maxham Road. Northbound traffic on Thornton was still moving and a few minutes after I turned right lifeflight was in the air. Thoughts and prayers are with all involved.
  13. I have seen a major decline of so many personal traits in people that before 2007 kept our companies thriving. The days of working for a company that you truly feel a part of are all but gone, the "me" mentality is about all that is left. Your grandmother is right. Since being laid off from the building industry I have worked for companies that had not felt the economic sting before then and the employee mentality really stinks. Dedication and accountability are a thing of the past, the word "teamwork" is no longer defined as all employees giving their best to the company and eac
  14. Thanks CeeJay ! I have been thinking of venting about this also but honestly I was just too tired. Why do the employees that are supposed to clock in at 8:00 show up closer to 9:00 and it's ok ? Not once in awhile - every single day of every week ! They are allowed to make up the time during lunch, that they do take, on the clock, after begging others to bring them back food so they don't lose time. Where did accountability, work ethic and customer service go ? I'm pretty sure they are dead but I missed the funeral. Why is it that after seeing you have been laid off several tim

  16. I like your posts. I like your sense of humor. I like very much and appreciate that you care about others that are in need. So far I haven't read anything that would give me any indication that I would not like you in person also.
  17. At least the weather people seem to agree that it's the last snow possibility this year.
  18. Thank you. I kept getting the page could not be displayed but I have it up now from the original address.
  19. Food Lion also had Oscar Mayer beef franks, regular and bun length for $1.88 buy one get one free. (For those that don't need a bunch. The maximum was 2 free)
  20. We were hoping he would be fired too. He is an ass, I don't think he will change his opinions and ways because they seem to be his true personality. My husband read somewhere that Hooter's is up for sale.
  21. Hopefully it will snow and be beautiful then melt quickly. I'm hearing we will likely get another round the end of Feb - 1st week in March, my husband is addicted to his weather website.
