  1. Thanks, I love blueberries. (and chocolate covered cherries)
  2. Well that stinks but it does sound like you have some good friends if they have already made 3 trips to help. Hope the new one works out for you.
  3. Luckily I don't fry very often, I really don't care for fried foods. I think that the older I get the less tolerant of those odors I become and our kitchen walls don't go to the ceiling so the whole house fills with cooking smells. I do clean right after dinner, I'm a bit addicted to clorax Clean up.
  4. Is it just me that wakes up the next morning after cooking onions, cabbage, collards, fried foods etc. and wants to gag ? Night before last included onions. Last night fried cabbage, fried squash and pork chops. The smells are making me sick ! We don't eat fried very often but sheeeeewww when we do. Clorax clean up takes care of the kitchen but the odors seem to linger all night. Even with the ceiling fans on and the back door open. When I win the lottery I'm going all Victorian era and having a "cooking" kitchen that is not attached to my living space. Anyone else have this
  5. I only need 6 words written for a small project. Thanks in advance.
  6. I just heard this and thought it was funny. And true. A dog thinks - you feed me, take care of me and love me. You must be God. A cat thinks - you feed me, take care of me and love me. I must be God.
  7. It has been too long. I guess life get's in the way of enjoying it sometimes.
  8. LPPT, I agree and feel in Miss Jesse some people learned more about themselves than they did about her. In my friendship with Miss Jesse I realized that for me she was a seed planter. The things we talked about were seemingly general conversation about what she thought and felt on different subjects, how she dealt with things that happened in her life, sickness, injuries, etc. The thing I did not realize at the moment was that she was planting seeds in my life. From her I learned, by example, to never feel someone is not worthy of our time or understanding because they are different for
  9. Curtis, You, your father and family are in my heart, thoughts and prayers.
  10. Curtis, she loved you very much. You were always a blessing to her.
  11. My heart is broken, I truly loved her. I have so many wonderful memories of her. She was one of the strongest and most positive people I have ever met. Nothing could keep her down, not long anyway. Her faith in and love for God never wavered even through sickness, her "The Lord will carry me through" attitude was inspiring. Now the Lord has carried her home and in my minds eye I can see that beautiful face just smiling so big because she is now with our Father. I will see you again my friend.
  12. Sending a prayer for you to see things clearer today and for tomorrow to be even better. One day at a time.
  13. We are sorry for your loss. Prayers for her family and yours.
  14. Our best Christmas morning memories are with our dogs. (We never had two legged kids) Sadly this year we won't have little ones to run to the tree and rip open their bags of tissue paper, babies and hidden treats. It hurts my heart so much just thinking about it, we lost our last precious little dog the week before Halloween.
  15. I'm sorry to read about your father. I hope you bring back some wonderful memories with your family and with your father. Be safe.
  16. It's almost Turkey Day ! Share your family, friends, cooking and shopping upcoming adventures, recipes and memories of holidays past. I would love to read some favorite memories of childhood get togethers, cooking with Mom's or Grandmothers, the favorite relative, the relative that always made the hoildays an "adventure", funny stories and the ones that still touch your heart through your memories. These always make our hearts smile and I don't know about you guys but they warm my heart to read them.
  17. I have worked extra hours for years but it was because I loved it. At the time it didn't bother me at all but in hindsight going above and beyond for the job, the company, without pay ended in lay offs just the same as the ones that did their 8-5 and could not care less about the company, just their paycheck. Sadly I know me and I would do it again because I tend to own my position and try to be the best I can for the company and customer. I guess some of us are just wired that way. The difference I have seen in the past 6 years is that in this economy the more you do free the more s
  18. Christmas movies showing all weekend, if anyone is in the mood yet..
  19. I don't have the tree up but I do have the outside decorations that need bulbs replaced on the back deck so I can get those done. I have 3 deer and a sleigh out there but it's hard to get motivated when it's so warm. Maybe today.
  20. I hate the ones that are recordings, even when you hold to the end of the message and push the # to be removed from their call list, it does no good. Pushing the button to talk to a person just gets you hung up on. Reporting their number does no good. Getting mad by the 3rd or 4th call before noon and throwing your phone.......does no good. I've tried it all. These are two I received yesterday afternoon. There were 4 others earlier yesterday but I had already deleted them from my phone. Some days I get 1 or 2, some days I get 6 or 7. That doesn't include the 3-4 a week that are
