  1. Thanks. I'll look for that place. I grew up in Virginia Highlands and have been wanting to take a ride through to see all the changes over the years. Yum, that's closer, thanks.
  2. The last one I had that would melt in your mouth was at some little place in Atlanta near the airport, years ago. I need to stop watching Food Network. Ina - The Barefoot Contessa cooked greek food earlier and made me think of it.
  3. Since you want it to be a surprise for your wife I would think it would be fine if you wanted to plan it or be involved with the decisions.
  4. I recently started getting emails from my husband who was sitting beside me at his desk, on his computer but didn't send me anything. The subject line is either blank or it says something like "Hey Deb look at this". They have my name and his. I send them to spam and delete them.
  5. We buy the big packs at Sam's, those birds have big boobies. I have only had 1 pack that a couple of them had a stringy texture. Last night I flattened and grilled chicken breasts, put sauteed mushrooms on top, then bacon, then swiss cheese and heated just enough for the cheese to melt. Yum !
  6. Bill Carruth aggravates me because I'm watching my speed so closely that it is distracting. I really hate tailgaters excellerating right on your bumper but love it down the road a bit when they see the reason I was so slow sitting there waiting on a speeder. Not one of the ungrateful little butts has ever said "thank you".
  7. That was great, we could have made big bucks for those antics.
  8. Nope, I had nuttin' to do with the burnt hot dogs.
  9. I agree that the best solution is that you go spend a week, if possible, with her at her home. Maybe between Thanksgiving and Christmas but be home with your husband on the holidays themselves. I would never have a family member on either side come and stay doing the things you described, it is disrespectful to you, your husband and your marriage. I'm not trying to be rude but your Mom seems self absorbed and does what she wants in your home without any concern for you or your husband. You will always be a daughter but becoming a wife your priorities shifted when you agreed to love
  10. I have never heard of EB but after reading information on it my heart was broken. What a wonderful, happy little boy. He was so precious.
  11. We are getting enough to see on the deck and railings. Look at our backyard, just kidding about the (snow) tree but it is pretty..
  12. She did a great job ! I'm not that patient either. Actually I hate to paint, it ends up everywhere except where intended.
  13. Prayers for good / normal test results.
  14. My present to you is to remind everyone how we are a family, of sorts. On pcom we may argue, disagree and even throw icon punches but at the end of the day (or topic) we still care about each other. We care when one of our pcom family members is going through a sadness, sickness or a hardship. We pray when they need it, we cry when they cry, we worry about them even when we aren't logged in, we mourn when they mourn. We pull together and get involved to find a way to help someone that needs it. Even if all we have are words of encouragement. We give each other a song, a funny
  15. Merry Christmas morning. Very cool ! I know your husband is pooped out this morning but the excitement that filled that room when the kids saw it was well worth it, I'm sure. What great memories this Christmas will bring for the kids for the rest of their lives, those special moments we remember forever. You guys did good !
  16. They may have to pop out the hinge pins and take the (house) doors off to get it through.
  17. Here's one of Parkers picture. Very cool ! Your husband did a great job and the colors are very pretty. You guys have a wonderful Christmas.
  18. Update: The little goat wasn't in our backyard this morning. The gate was still closed and no sign he dug under a fence anywhere. After speaking with the person that lost it we are thinking it may be a climber because she didn't know how it got out of her yard either. She had just got it the day before yesterday for her son's Christmas. I was out this morning early looking around our neighborhood and down Davis Mill, I talked to our neighbors and they will call me if they see him so I can go get him and call the owner. I did call Animal Control yesterday, they took my number in case an
  19. He's older and is ok, he's being fed and watered. Will update when I can get in touch with the owner.
  20. Thanks, I will ride down D. Mill in the morning and get the info.
