Commisioner David Austins ad in the paper this week
chainshaw1 replied to LPPT's topic in Paulding County NEWS
If David were to help a post commissioner get seated, he most certainly would have power over them. Political favors have to be returned. That is my point. You even say yourself that he could make things "bloody". It looks bad, whether it is the intent or not. I understand that they could band together against him, that is what it appears he is trying to prevent by endorsing this candidate. It's not against the law. I know that. I am not even saying that it is worth the effort to make it illegal. It just seems to be a very poor judgment call on David's part. -

I respect David, too. That is not the point. He is endorsing someone who will sit directly under him. All of the other endorsements were for people that the were not, more or less, reporting to them. It just looks shady, whether it really is or not. -

I don't have a problem with endorsements. I see a problem with an endorsement of someone who will end up sitting on your commission. It just looks really shady. I like David and think that he has done a pretty good job, so far. I just think that this was very poor judgment on his part. -

I don't have a dog in this fight, but the sitting Commission Chair should never endorse someone who is running for a post seat. That is a HUGE conflict of interest and sheds a very unflattering light on the Commission as a whole. -
How about a civil discussion on the 19th district race
chainshaw1 replied to lotstodo's topic in Paulding County NEWS
So, did anyone else get the mailing with the giant picture of Paulette and Sarah Palin. Nice of her to suggest that she is endorsed by Palin, when it has never happened. As pissed as I am at Stout, I voted for him, again, this week. Paulette is delusional. She is really not all there. -
I am going to try and be there.

What happens next year when they decide that including foreclosures in value assessments was a bad idea and go back to the old way of figuring your home's tax value? Will they then decrease the millage rate or will they leave it alone and hit us with a huge increase?

Don't know about making my toes curl, but you made my stomach curdle.

Will somebody show me ONE SINGLE TIME that Jason has said that he supported amnesty for illegals? Show me. You can't.

If I could vote in Post 4, it would be Anavitarte. Cruise the Politics forum, as I have posted plenty about why. I pay attention to all Post races, since they all vote on the direction of the county.

Earl seemed like a really nice guy when I met him. After listening to him mumble and ramble at the Stars and Strikes forum, I wouldn't vote for him. You will need someone who can mix it up and speak his piece to change things in this county. Earl is not that guy.

He never ran for a State Senate seat. There was speculation that he would, but he never ran. Doraville city council was all non-partisan. There was not a party associated with any candidate. You can come up with as much as you want to throw at him. That is your right. Just make sure that you actually get your "facts" straight. He was a member GALEO and can't deny it. He is not now and they have not taken his info off of the website. Not pushing for that is rather silly on Jason's part. There are only a handful (3 maybe) elected Hispanic officials in Georgia. Not exactly a powerful

I voted for Tommy. He and Bill Heath are the only Incumbents that I voted for . Tommy has done a decent job and tends to listen to others concerns. He is also one of the few folks in this county that have actively created an industrial tax base. We will sink as a county if some more people don't do the same. I will say that that Collett has impressed me and that I don't feel that we will be hurting if he gets elected. For once, I actually had two good choices.

Sources: Damon Evans Out As UGA AD On Monday

If it was just a DUI, he may have been able to give up the raise, get some help, and stay at the university. Throw in the whore and red panties and they pretty much had no choice, but to say goodbye. Kind of sad how someone could throw so much away. I can picture the waving sea of red panties in the Florida student section on game day. -
Fort Sumter is one of the most important historic sites in this country. Well worth the trip out into the harbor to see it.

I don't agree with lower rent, but they have always been the same to me. The only thing that PCB had in it's favor, was the proximity and a nicer beach. Putt-putt and airbrushed license plates are the order of the day for both.

I highly recommend a combination carriage/boat tour. You can do one on one day and the other on a second day. I also recommend a trip to see the Yorktown naval museum. My favorite restaurants in Charleston are Coast, Hank's, and Fig, in that order. You can always cruise down to Folly Beach and eat at some of the really good local restaurants there. Also, Isle of Palms has been voted one of the nicest beaches in the USA.

Bol was an amazing human being that was able to bring much needed attention and money to his native Sudan. He had an interesting story to tell and used his fame and celebrity to do some good. I wish that other athletes would take a lesson from him. Not to mention, he was the only NBA player to ever kill a lion with a spear. (as a child in his tribe) How cool is that?

What stinks is that if it is low on freon, it is leaking. Freon is a contained gas and only needs replaced when some escapes through a leak. Leaks have to be repaired.

News from the candidate forum last night
chainshaw1 replied to WHITEY's topic in Paulding County NEWS
I am having trouble understanding if Chris is banned here or not. I am not sure that if I was him, that I would want to go on to a web show that was hosted and staffed by folks who were so vocally opposed to me. I am thinking that there is not much to be gained by appearing. The bottom line is that both Paulding.com and Examiner are opinion sites and not news outlets. Heck, I am hard pressed to think that any "news outlet" anymore is something other than opinion. -
Low freon (leaking) or an extremely dirty evaporator coil.

Letter to Paulding teachers and residents from Will Avery
chainshaw1 replied to willavery's topic in Paulding County NEWS
That elephant's trunk is stuck so far up your ass that it is affecting your ability to think in a civilized manner. You may want to swing by the Proctologist and get that checked out. This site used to be a great place to hold a forum. This kind of crap is why it is a shell of what it used to be. -
Letter to Paulding teachers and residents from Will Avery
chainshaw1 replied to willavery's topic in Paulding County NEWS
After the asshat remarks that some have made on here, I doubt that Will would even step back in. I would not even waste my time if I was him. I met Mr. Avery. I asked him a lot of questions. I am a pretty conservative guy, but I am not afraid to look at all of my options. Our choices in this race suck! I really liked Will's responses and I believe that he is sincere in his endeavors. Is he perfect? No. Is he better than the Three Stooges that are running in the Republican Primary? Hell yes! I will most likely do something that I have not done in many years, this November. I will be vot
