I upgraded on Thursday...I have been turning off apps after I use them. It now is so much easier just press button twice and swipe app up and presto it is off..When I am home I only use wifi...It is the apps and bluetooth that drains the life out of the battery. I am also a new I Phone user. Just got mine in July and yes I am a senior citizen who decided to get with the new technology...The download only took 15 minutes. I like it...so far..

I have had a problem with AT&T a few months back with my internet going down. It took 5 phone calls before one tech realized the problem was not on my end but on the server. Ever since that problem was fixed my internet has not gone down. It was really frustrating but the young man who figured out the problem by going the extra step found what the issue was. Since then no problem at all except for an outage that was already reported.

I live close to Hwy 92 and Due West rd area and around 12 or so saw a flash then heard what sounded like a small boom of thunder. We also lost power for about 5 minutes or so...but no cable tv...I did go to Comcast website and it stated an outage in our area. Anyone else have this problem...

I got caller ID and just do not answer the phone. I did file a complaint for a collection agency who kept calling me someone I did not know. They just call now from another number. I did tell them if I was that person send me something in the mail and then they asked for my address..Well let's just say I was less than polite.

I have handicapped tags on my car. My doctor made me get them.. I have had heart surgery and a knee replaced. I hated using the cart when I was recovering from my knee surgery so I would go to the store early. I have to be careful of really cold weather and hot weather. I use the handicapped spaces on days when my knee is not up to par or if the weather is awful...I don't look handicapped but I am..Not all handicaps are visible, but I have seen young healthy people park in those spaces, just to run in store for a few minutes... I did see a Cobb county officer give a ticket to someone who par

I used to work for a natural gas company and everyone has the same complaint about the AGL pass through charges. It used to be the same amount each month but some customers got upset with that since they don't use gas in the summer and the total amount is now divided up with the largest amount being charged during the winter. It does not make sense that it is charged when your bills are the largest. The fee is based on the amount of gas you use called the DDC. You can find that on your bill. No matter what gas company you use the fee from AGL is the same. The gas company can only control th

I love all those forbidden foods also but I have realized I would like to enjoy my retirement as a healthy person...I follow a basic Mediterranean diet plan.I am also diabetic and have had stents put in. I know how hard it is lose weight and I have kept off 85 lbs for almost 5 years now and have tightly controlled my blood sugar. I did go through Cardiac Rehab and have completely changed my lifestyle. I exercise 5 days per week. My cardiologist is Dr David Caras, he is with Wellstar Cardiovascular Medicine in Marietta. He is a wonderful and a very caring doctor. I have been seeing him for 5 years. My husband see Dr Barry Mangel also at the Marietta office. I really like both of them. I am also diabetic so I have some extra health issues. The trip to Marietta has been worth it. I have gotten top notch care at Wellstar. -
We have used them for 13 years since we moved here...A few years ago a bunch of companies came with lower costs and a lot of my neighbors changed.. Well guess what after a few months their trash did not get picked up on time or at all.. we did forget to put out the trash when we were on vacation they saw the can was filled and came up the driveway to empty it...Great company and good employees..and they are always so nice when you call.

we do we put deer XING signs in high traffic areas?
csk219 replied to jet_man1969's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Okay..Now are we supposed to put up bridges for deer to cross over the roads and since when did deer learn to read...I cannot believe that this woman would waste her time concerned about this...Three accidents with deer, the signs are for the humans in cars to be extra cautious...That woman is not the sharpest crayon in the box... -
Never ate Twinkies or any other Hostess cakes... I come from Philly area and the king of snack cakes was Tasty Cakes... I guess that brand and Little Debbies will be seeing a surge in sales...

My daughter and her family live outside of Philadelphia and they are prepared for power outages and trees down. They also have a trailer in a campground outside of North Wildwood NJ so they are worried about that with bay flooding and there are a lot of trees around the campground.

an accident looking for a place to happen.....

I live off of Hwy 92 and those log trucks are on the road all the time heading for the lumber yard. They are always overloaded and if you are behind them you can see the load shift. It is really scary following one of them up Hwy 92 N before Due West Rd because of the hill. I have always said they are dangerous. I try to stay as far back as I can. No one seems to care until one of them has an accident or someone gets killed or injured because the load shifted. -

I want to thank Nick at Cedarcrest PC for fixing my computer..He did a great job at removing some nasty viruses that I could not remove and got my PC working again. He did it a good price and it was done in 2 days...I would highly recommend using him to repair your computer or laptop. Thanks again Nick.

I had a problem with AT&T last year and after 4 phone calls and various solutions, which included a new modem, and resetting the connection they finally figured out it my not my connection but a problem with something with the server that was for my area. Took them about 12 hours (was estimated 24 Hrs) to fix it. Now I have no connection problems at all. The young man who was courteous and very helpful. He walked me through every step to troubleshoot. I did let them know that he was the one who figured out my connection issue...

I know how you feel...I was in Wally World today and the Christmas trees are up in the Garden Dept...It is not even Halloween yet..I love the holidays but all this secular stuff really obscures the reason we celebrate Christmas.

Are you better off today than you were four years ago?
csk219 replied to barrycdog's topic in RECENT TOPICS
No...We are retired and on a fixed income...gas is up..food prices have gone up and so on. We really want to sell our house but it is valued at less than we paid for it back in 1999. My grown kids are struggling just to stay afloat and my youngest just got a job after being unemployed for nearly a year. We have had to scale back on our spending. We are saving some money because you never know what is around the corner. We do go out less and watch a DVD instead of a movie. We are not struggling but if things keep going as they are we may very well be down the road. We need a definite change -

I have lived here for 13 years and this is home...Yes I am one of those Northerners who moved here...I love the weather and the fact that blizzards are far and few inbetween...I even like hot and humid days...I also like the fact that we pay low taxes and car insurance as compared to living in Philly area. We moved here because of my hubbys job and now we are retired.I have made many friends and am very active in my church. Two of my daughters also live here within 4 miles of me. They would not be able to afford homes like they have here up near Philly because the taxes would be more than mor
