A couple of months ago, I asked for the people of PCOM's help in collecting bicycles for our church to help a ministry in Smyrna, TN. You folks came thru tremendously. North View Baptist has collected 50 bikes and we have most of them repaired and made pretty to take to the kids. I would like to say Thank You to all the folks that donated bikes. Your help is greatly appreciated. Weight loss would help, but would not be specific to the Plantars, but losing weight will help with any foot related problem, simply because they are what everything else rests on. There are lots of things you can do to relieve the pain, I dont think there is a 'cure' as such. Research, research, research and ask your doctor to refer you to a good podiatrist.

I have had Plantars's for several years, the good thing is....the doc says it should correct itself within 5 years. I am on year 7, somewhere the math just didnt add up, although I havent had any real trouble from it in the last couple of years. Ice works ( I tried the water bottle thing, it DOES do wonders), stretching helps IF you stick to it and actually do it, I did for awhile, worked great, then I got lazy and stopped, 3 months later I was at the docs office for Cortisone shots. The shots arent terribly bad....IF you like to have something roughly the size and shape of a dull base

Call your cell phone provider and ask them to check what 3rd party charges are on your bill. Most likely you downloaded a 'free' ringtone or visited some crazy site from your phone that automatically signed you up for their club, including their monthly recurring fee. Ask your provider to remove it and if you do NOT want it to happen again, ask them to block your 3rd party access. That will also make it where you cant download ringtones/games/apps from anybody but your wireless providers website.

I love texting...I can do it from my desk at work and NOT have to make that distracting, drawn out phone call. I average somewhere between 3000-5000/month. Luckily for me, my 16 year old daughter has unlimited texting, she AVERAGES 12000 per month, she makes Sprint cringe in fear of her.

Probably your HOA trying to be PC. The HOA in our subdivision originally wanted to to TorT on Saturday, said it was 'better' because the kids didnt have to go to school the next day (which is crap, what do you do when Halloween falls on a Wednesday?), but a LOT of people complained.....Trick or Treating is done ON Halloween, not the nearest convenient Saturday.

North View Baptist Church has a pumpkin patch in front of JC's Auto Care in New Hope. We have a LOAD of pumpkins, all shapes, sizes....even some that are funky shapes and colors.....we have the normal orange, but also several albino that have green, orange or yellow 'veins' running thru them. we even have one pumpkin that is PINK! (if its still there) Its an absolutely gorgeous day outside, come by, say howdy, browse around. As a special added bonus, if you come by after 3pm today you will get to meet.....ME!

The pumpkins are being sold to raise money to send our Youth group to camp next summer. As far as Halloween.....its a fun holiday for the kids. They get to dress up, scare each other and score a load of free candy. Whats not to like? The kids love it, its the adults that usually have issues with it. Personally, my house will be decorated with all kinds of ghoulish and ghastly decorations. I try to give the kids a scare, but then they get good candy too. If I am able I will have some fun Halloween decorations and props up at the sale while I am there......appropriate for the kids

Yep, got both of those on the list already. I was hoping to find some that are specific to our county. I was thinking some of our local churches, but corporate policy is that it cant be a religious based organization.

I work for a large corporation and am part of our charitable council. We were told today that the corporation can only donate directly to 501c3 non profit charitable organizations. If anybody knows of any of these organizations in Paulding or Douglas let me know so I can give the name of the organization to our coordinator, maybe get some further help for the flood victims.

Ivy Springs subdivision is having our community yard sale today and tommorrow. Friday til 2pm Saturday 7am-2pm The subdivision is on Ivey Gulledge Rd near Old Cartersville.

Not directly in New Hope....Freedom Fitness just past Crossroads and Workout Anytime at the end of East Paulding are about the closest.

Just spoke to the water department and no they are not shutting off water. Only to the areas where a main has broken. If you have water now you should be good to go
