  1. it depends....you can get some really great deals on the multi-packs of k-cups.
  2. We have a "potluck" lunch party at a coworker's home that is nearby and then play games and goof off or take the rest of the day off to go shopping or home.
  3. I am not sure that the Nook offers 3G and that would be what would make my decision. I had planned to get a kindle if I got a reader.
  4. You can always appeal/contest the claim. However, if you were faulted on the accident report, it would be hard to overcome.
  5. Rick Springfield does still tour. Didn't see the Oprah show but I used to read his blog all the time. I think he still looks a lot like himself...just age progressed.
  6. if you switch to DISH, I'd love to get the referral. Let me know.

    Threading

Threading is SOOO much better than waxing, in my opinion. FBBC, how much is it with Sumita?
  8. I really like Nags Head, but it is a little further south than my friend that we meet prefer to stay since they come in from Virginia. Really all of the outer banks are beautiful...you can't go wrong, and within 10-20 miles, there are tons of different towns to visit and things to do. The further south on the banks you get, it seems to become more isolated (in my option), whereas the more northern towns have more touristy shops on the "strip". The lighthouses range..some north and some south and the ferry is further to the south. Lowrider included info all the way further down the coastlin
  9. It may be, but last week when we were there we only caught (and most of the others fishing from the pier) skates, which are not suitable for eating (they look like stingrays). One of the guys who attends the church I work for is from Kill Devil Hills and he works in a restaurant there called Chili Peppers. Incidentally, he attends college in Charlotte during the year at a culinary institute. They have .10 shrimp and .25 wings for happy hour...or at least they did when we were there last week. ok, lowrider, I'm sure you know I'm a good little girl, but I almost got arrested
  10. Some places book up very quickly, but I've seen many placed still available, even for this summer...due to the economy. If you stay around Kill Devil Hills, Kitty Hawk, it is pretty commercial, but some of the more southern areas are even accissible by 4 WD...but those are actually few and far between....I wouldn't consider it "remote".
  11. Yes, we just got back. Depends on what you enjoy. There are several lighthouses you can visit, a ferry, wartersports, you can rent ATV's, Jeeps, etc., there is an aquarium and several all you can eat seafood buffets that gather HUGE lines...people will wait in line for 2 hrs to get in!
  12. No, it was a male in his 70's. He was returning from a dr. appt. and apparently had a brain hemorrage and must've passed out and run off the road and hit a tree, from what we've pieced together. He was sent by life flight to Grady.
  13. Yes, this is it. Thank you...we are getting the details piece by piece. Incidentally, the occupant didn't make it.
  14. Anyone aware of one inside Paulding county? Occupant was taken to Grady...not sure if by ambulance or life flight. This person was part of my family, but we do not know where the accident occured, where the vehicle is, or anything. I don't know that is occured in Paulding, but that is where he usually would be travelling.
  15. Not sure where to put this because it really isn't a "help wanted". Anyway, I got an email about a study on athletic apparel and I do not qualify, but I thought I'd pass it on---it is April 22nd. You'll need to complete a questionnaire and email it back to them if you are interested. Email the questionaire below to heather@probemarket.com WE NEED MALES AND FEMALES AGES 15 - 22. We have a study coming up that is paying $175. It is a focus group taking place in Atlanta on April 22nd. The group will last three and half hours and the topic is athletic apparel. Please fill out acco
  16. Pubby, Do you know that Thomas' funeral was taken care of? As I recall, he didn't really have family...perhaps a step-son (I think) that he lived with for a time when p.com first "met" him. I would like to know that everything is/was taken care of for him.
  17. How much does a self-pay EKG cost and can a person who is self-pay request that one be done if they feel a need?
  18. This is for a 45 yr old mobile home. Apparently when some people from a church group came to "help" do some clean-up work for this person, it was discovered that a pipe that carries the water from the shower to septic, is missing. We don't have a clue what happened to it. The group was going to have someone come back after the weekend and fix the problem, but it never happened. I don't know that it needs to be a licensed plumber to do this, but you have to be willing to get dirty since it has rained so much. This is one very minor problem in a home that needs much help, but this woul

  21. anyone? Cartersville Medical? any other ideas?

  23. what a story. I hope that he is hiding and didn't actually fall out of the balloon. We were talking here about what people must've thought seeing that balloon going flying through the air...
  24. keep the suggestions coming...any moreso any "word of mouth" type things....the positions we wouldn't find by searching online...
