THE WEATHER CHANNEL BLUE RIDGE -
These folks just can't catch a break, hopefully it won't be as bad as predicted. Associated Press By SETH BORENSTEIN | Associated Press – 4 hours ago WASHINGTON (AP) — A gigantic line of powerful thunderstorms could affect one in five Americans on Wednesday as it rumbles from Iowa to Maryland packing hail, lightning and tree-toppling winds. Meteorologist are warning that the continuous line of storms may even spawn an unusual weather event called a derecho (duh-RAY'-choh), which is a massive storm of strong straight-line winds spanning at least 240 miles. Vultures on the roof of neighboring house.......

Mama June comes to mind. -
We have two regular visitors. We get more as the season goes on. By August we usually have 5 or 6. And yes, all the birds are taking care of their babies. I see the Bluebird daddy feeding his 3 and we have a daddy Woodpecker feeding his little one. And of course the sparrows and doves and the rest. Baby birds are so sweet! .

I totally agree. It was after such an unthinkable tragedy that folks were willing to believe the government for just a moment in time and would take care of us. We willingly gave them all of our trust with this new program that would track down terrorist, when the rest of us knew what it would lead to. I read George Orwell in the sixties and knew exactly what he was talking about. And now we are there.

What's really scary is they walk among us. .

I've seen more vultures this year than every before. I wonder why? It used to be you would see them way out in the country, or eating something dead on the highway. And good lord, down in South Georgia they are double in size and ugliness! -
Wow, I'm so glad you found out what it is and now you can start getting well. .

Where would be a great place to go for a few days?

You'll really enjoy Savannah. We've gone down 3 times for the dinner boat ride. Just be careful on I-16, especially around Pooler (I think.) The cops are waiting on you. LOL Oh, and I don't know where you're planning on staying, we've always stayed down on Bay Street, but it's expensive this time of year. North of town there are a lot of hotel/motels that are cheaper and only a couple of miles into town. You will have to pay to park if you go down on River Street, but if you can find a place on the upper streets some spots are free. Be sure to go to River Street Candy UMM -

Girl, there is so much history in Savannah, but it is a minime of Charleston. I absolutely LOVE Charleston. You really need a week there just for the city. We went back for another week to tour the plantations. And then we went back for another week just because it was Charleston and so much more to see and so many great places to eat!! It's six hours away. The first time we stayed in a B&B on the Battery. Just beautiful. After that we started staying out on the Isle of Palms, just over the Cooper bridge (only now it's a new bridge) and about 15 minutes away from the city. Ch -

I'm a beach person. Four hours to Savannah, another 20 minutes out to Tybee Island. Swim in the ocean, walk in Savannah. TONS of history and dozens of great places to eat. Tybee has a working lighthouse and an old fort from the war. Enjoy! -
I know all you folks with gardens need it and your gardens will grow!! I know my tomatoes and flowers have grown like monsters!! Rainwater is so much better. But watch out, the rest of the week is going to be HOT! and I don't see any rain in the forecast until next Monday. 90 tomorrow, 93 Wednesday and 91 Thursday.

We have that for our neighborhood. I think we got it about a year ago. It's been informative as far as some trouble making kids in the neighborhood. But I haven't heard anything lately. It's a good way to keep up with what's going on. And I'll never give up my IPhone-tablet-laptop-desktop willingly. You'll have to pry my iPhone (complete with texting and Internet) out of my dead cold hand! LOL

My only concern would be........was your other medication working? And if it was, why the change? I'm not one to want to try any new drugs, especially when any real reports of side effects have not come in. I read about it and it has a lot of side effects. It sounds like you're pretty much guaranteed to get a yeast infection (Yuk!) and low blood pressure and urgent urinary needs. So again, do you HAVE to change your medication? And I'm not directing that at you necessarily, I just know doctors are pushed to try all the new drugs. When I go visit my doctor there are no fewer than 3

I don't understand insurance companies. The doctor gave you something that was working, right? But, *****NO**** you have to follow their guidelines and be a guinea pig and try what they say, while running the risk of a diabetic coma or worse. So they would rather pay for an ambulance and hospital stay instead of allowing you to have a medication THAT WORKS!!!! And it's just going to get worse. Sorry they are putting you through this. .
