I don't touch anything until I'm through washing the meat. Then I wash my hands twice so I can get flour, seasoning etc and then when I finish I scrub everything down. I use the wipes because I can't stand to smell straight colorox. Ground beef really scares me.

MrDis, I do the same thing. I hate grocery shopping so I know what I want and where it is. It's much easier to leave the buggy at the end cap and walk thru the mob and get what I want and move on. There are some seriously rude and inconsiderate people that shop with carts. Probably the same asshats I have to put up with on the road, because they think they're the only one that counts.

Congratulations!! And I can't believe in this day and age, people don't know about sterilizing behind washing meat. I do it with everything . Besides scrubbing the sink with Comet, and wiping the counters with soap and water, I also wipe down with Clorox wipes. And don't forget to use a separate sponge or throw it in the microwave to kill the germs. And always wash vegetables that will be eaten raw. They could be contaminated with e-coli or salmonella.

I saw her today on Bethenny's show. When she said she doesn't read or write, Bethenny had asked her about writing a book. Courtney said she's not writing a book, in fact she doesn't read or write. I took it to mean she doesn't bother to read or write, not that she can't. I dunno. I think she's really struggling to find herself. I hope she does. I will say this, she was very honest.

I don't buy and cook seafood, but I guess when I eat it out it's imported from God only knows where. I only buy Purdue or Tyson chicken. Guess it'll be imported from China. I get my beef and pork at West Metro. I just can't stand the thought of chicken coming from China. Or any food. Wait until McDonald's starts selling nuggets from China and children fall ill, or worse. I'm wondering where Chik Fil A will be getting their strips and nuggets from. Where is the outrage? Asia, as far as I'm concerned, is the seat of viruses. All kinds of deadly viruses. And Africa. I have a hard time buying some food from any other country, period. I do buy produce that is from Chile.

I remember posting a couple of months back that chicken nuggets would be coming from China. The chicken would be sent to China, processed and sent back over here. I would have a hard time buying any kind of food product from China.

The best thing you're going to get at the ER is a 4-6 hour wait to be told you need to see an ortho and maybe a pain pill RX. I know my deductible is January to December. I couldn't imagine having a $4000 deductible. Mine is $350 per calendar year. If yours is per calendar year, it's a shame you couldn't wait until January to pay into all of this, because if in fact you have herniated discs, you're in for a lot of expense. I have a lot of back pain, but mine is not herniated discs. We actually don't know what it is, probably arthritis, but I did get a cortisone shot about 3 week
