  1. I made some this past summer and I didn't like them. I love jalapeños and to have them sweet and hot sounded so good. I got the recipe from Southern Living. I may find another recipe on line and try again. I need to try Harvest Moon sometime. Glad you enjoyed it.

I was on channel 9 for the Nineties, at almost 5:00. We were prolly listening at the same time! LOL. And I'm always switching channels.

Me too, on Sirius XM. We were coming home from the mall, had my daughter and both grandboys. I turned it all the way up and we were all bobbing our heads

  5. You really should write a book Surepip. I would buy it! BTW, it's 14 right now at my house.
  6. Dang boy, I didn't know.....but I'm glad you're back, even if you are aggravating as chit Happy New Year!!!
  7. I just got the CALL ONE call............ Smart move in my opinion.
  8. I've got a few flurries right now, but the clouds are broken up and the sun shines occasionally.
  9. I'm headed to bed and it's dropped to 38 now. Hope I get up to snow instead of icy slush. Everyone stay safe and warm.
  10. I love the Sarasota area. We stayed on siesta key and it was wonderful. The sand is cool and soft as powder and white white. Travel down the road to some beautiful quaint towns and islands and see the banyan trees. It's so tropical. Travel down to Sanibel and collect the most amazing sea shells. There is so much to do and good food. We were actually looking for a Place to buy, but I decided I didn't want to be 12 hours from my kids and grandkids. But it's gorgeous and so peaceful.
  11. I'm at Paul Aiken and it's 41.....I can't believe it hasn't hit you yet. That's only a few miles from each other.
  12. Starting about 8:00 it went from 46 all the up to 51 and then started dropping a little after 11:00. It's 42 now. Make that 41.
  13. The wind is howling, it's pouring rain and the temperature has dropped 5 degrees in the last 30 minutes at my house. I guess it's on its way!
  14. Great advice. We saw several that were semi-frozen yesterday. I remember when I was a teenager the Werbells pond froze over and a bunch of kids went out on it, but I never did, I was afraid to. My mama taught me well. Thank goodness no one got hurt, but I remember hearing of kids falling throught the ice and drowning.
  15. I just saw on FOX 5 that Marietta City is closed.
  16. I read on FB that the Board will make the announcement at 6 in the morning.
  17. The models aren't calling for much at all, but I say if we have to endure below freezing temps, let it snow..............a lot! At least give me something to look at while I'm stuck in the house
  18. Wasn't she drunk? They were picking on her son? He's 16. He's grown. Wow, what a good role model she is. If she were a man, she would have been arrested.
  19. I didn't think of that.............it's covered and I really doubt my husband would stand out there and cook. I suppose if it were a situation like back in '73 we would. Hopefully this will just be a couple of days.
  20. My husband said yesterday it was a mad house at Walmart and stripped of most every essential. We have food and plenty of firewood. I just can't cook if we lose power. Sammiches for us if we do. I heard on the news this morning that Montgomery has already closed schools for tomorrow. Everyone stay in and stay safe. Thank goodness I don't have to get out in it!
  21. Nasty! (Actually before opening this and knowing TP posted it, that's what I figured he would be talking about )
  22. I would have a serious conversation with her and be truthful as to why there is an issue. Not attacking or anything like that, just an honest conversation as to what has transpired over time and hopefully a light bulb will go off over her head. If you don't thank me for the gift I gave you, you won't get another one. It's that simple. And I usually put a lot of thought into gift giving. But since she's family, maybe you can help her understand. Good luck.
  23. source Before she is transported, the coroner must be involved. My question is, who's paying the hundreds of thousands (millions?) of dollars to transport and keep this brain dead child alive with artificial means? According to Christopher Dolan, the family attorney for Jahi McMath, the process to move Jahi will involve several steps. He said there must be communication between Children’s Hospital and the receiving facility, the family must give the receiving facility paperwork of Jahi’s health care status and she must be transported in an ambulance
