  1. If that was directed at me, I don't have a narrow view of history.
  2. Good to hear from you! Hope all is well.
  3. Girl, you have to wear rubber gloves. I found that out the hard way! LOL
  4. NOOOOO! Not Mrs. Doubtfire! I loved him, no matter what he did. And I didn't realize he suffered from depression. How sad. R.I.P. Robin Williams
  5. I'm trying to figure out where those blonde/blue eyed and red/green eyed kids are coming from. Could it be from American soldiers when we were in Iraq?
  6. I've never air dried my steaks before. I hear you and feelip talk about it all the time, but I just don't want to wait a few days or a week to eat the meat. Something about it I just can't get over. Anyway, on a good note, I picked up some bone-in ribeyes yesterday at West Metro. 100% Black Angus and he cut them for me. I left them on the counter all afternoon so they would get to room temperature (something I've read you should do so that so the steaks aren't cold and end up "steaming" on the grill) Anyway, I just put kosher salt (which melts into the meat) and fresh ground pepper
  7. I must say, I was surprised by some that weren't on the list, and some there were on the list. Click HERE for the list https://homes.yahoo.com/photos/gallery-america-s-most-corrupt-states-1407469336-slideshow/ From YAHOO The most corrupt states in America . MainStreet By Robert McGarvey August 7, 2014 11:32 PM Don't think public corruption is the sole province of down-at-the-heels nations such as Somalia, the poorest performer in Transparency International's index of perceived corruption in 176 countries. The United States doesn't land in the top 10 cleanest
  8. Well, the first day of school my little 5YO grandson had the same issue. Some little boy punched him in the throat. I asked if he told the teacher. No. I told him to tell the teacher if it happened again, because we all know "we're supposed to keep our hands to ourselves." Thankfully nothing else happened. I think kids are just trying to test each other when school starts. I hope there's not any more problems but we'll deal with them as they come. It sounds like for right now your grandson defended himself and solved the problem. I hope it stays that way.
  9. I agree. Who gets out of their car onto the track with cars racing by? I think it was very unfortunate. From what I've read he did gun the engine and "the back end kicked out and clipped the guy". Murder Eddie? I hardly think so. Manslaughter? I don't know, that's for the authorities to figure out. After all it is high speed racing with the danger of death on every lap. That's why you don't get out of the vehicle and try to confront someone on the track with cars racing by. Some responsibility should be on the driver that tried to confront Tony on the track.
  10. There's always house fires from this type of lightening. There was an apartment fire in Atlanta yesterday from the storm. And I've seen some if those huge houses like around Roswell and Alpharetta hit and catch fire.
  11. Wasn't there also a "mom" involved with the dumping and cover up?
  12. I'm on 61 south and the lightening and thunder was awful. Half my bank washed into the lake I think. We have a pipe stopped up with leaves. Anyway our cable is out. I heard it when it hit and went looking around the house to make sure we didn't get hit. Unfortunately as of right now there is a house fire in Villa Rica from the lightening. My daughter is visiting in that neighborhood and sent me some pictures I hate house fires and I'm praying for this family. They've lost everything.
  13. That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw it on the news. And she may get away with it, but I believe she's just as guilty. Boo Hoo, she can't get any privacy because she was married to a pervert. AND he killed forgot the baby, in a hot car.
  14. I feel sorry for all you folks trying to get home this afternoon. The interstates are toast and a lot of damage and trees down.
  15. It's a tornado warning. Rotation spotted
  16. In August??? A warning Yes. Southern Bartow - Northern Cobb Rotation reported by WSB. 92 and I-75
  17. I guess it depends on where you're going in D'ville, but I never use 92. On this side, I use Bakers Bridge. I've even taken Liberty Road to I-20 to get where I'm going over there. So much easier. When I lived on the other side of the county near Cobb I would use Brownsville and come out at the Greystone.
  18. I didn't say it was. I guess my point is we need to limit travel from those countries, but that's not going to happen. We'll see what the CDC and the government does when it becomes a pandemic here.
  19. Obama says 'authorized' targeted US strikes on Iraq . AFP 12 minutes ago Washington (AFP) - President Barack Obama said Thursday he had authorized US forces to conduct air strikes against Sunni extremist militants in Iraq if they are needed to prevent a massacre of civilians. "We can act, carefully and responsibly to prevent a potential act of genocide," Obama said, referring to a religious minority group besieged by fighters from the so-called Islamic State. "I therefore authorized targeted air strikes if necessary to help forces in Iraq as they fight to break the siege and
  20. Ebola's spread to US is 'inevitable' says CDC chief . AFP By Kerry Sheridan 3 hours ago Washington (AFP) - Ebola's spread to the United States is "inevitable" due to the nature of global airline travel, but any outbreak is not likely to be large, US health authorities said Thursday. Already one man with dual US-Liberian citizenship has died from Ebola, after becoming sick on a plane from Monrovia to Lagos and exposing as many as seven other people in Nigeria. More cases of Ebola moving across borders via air travel are expected, as West Africa faces the largest outbreak of the
  21. What do you do? My grandson loves LEGOS and he has some of the Star Wars..............
  22. For you folks with your head up your arse............. Ebola sparks states of emergency across west Africa . AFP 5 hours ago Monrovia (AFP) - Overwhelmed west African nations called states of emergency on Thursday with the death toll from the Ebola epidemic nearing 1,000, as the World Health Organisation considers global travel restrictions to halt its spread. Soldiers in Liberia's Grand Cape Mount province -- one of the worst-affected areas -- set up road blocks to limit travel to the capital Monrovia, where lawmakers gathered to ratify a 90-day state of emergenc
  23. Dang! I don't want swings and grilles when I get old. I want a POOL!
  24. Some people really shouldn't have kids. I just don't get it. If it had been their dog, they probably would have been out looking for it.
