Hospice is wonderful. It allowed me to keep my husband at home so I could take care of him and he was constantly surrounded by family. I brought my mother home when she had stage 4 lung cancer. It allowed all of us to be around her and talk with her and pray for her. I could not imagine either one in a cold hospital room, like Laurie said, around strangers and beeping machines.
