Growing up we owned,over the years three German Shepherds. Beautiful very intelligent, loyal breed. They are protective of their family but unlike some other breeds like pit bulls for instance that you have to work constantly to fight against their inbreed tendency to become vicious the only way you will get a vicious German Shepherd is to purposely work to make them that way.
