  1. I have a niece that takes pictures of her food and post them on her Facebook page as if the world needs to know what she had for lunch (?) Kids these days. #Soup&Salad@TheOliveGarden!
  2. What I fail to understand is how you ever managed to convince Chick-Fil-A you were the god fearing, wholesome kind of guy they were looking for. Have you ever considered a career in acting ?
  3. Wow really, I figured it would be long gone by now. My cousin lived in a little house not far from there, when I spent the night we would also go to the Krystle a couple of blocks down (25 cent burgers) then hang out at the bowling alley just behind it are they still there ?
  4. Sounds like a great idea for a romance novel.
  5. Head down I-75 to the Farmers Market and could you pick me up some tomatoes, cantaloupe and some honey while you're down there ? Oh and see what their snap beans look like.
  6. I thought this was a discussion about sheets. Satin vs Cotton vs Flannel. Never the less I would like to express my support for cotton.
  7. As for me calling them a cult I apologize if I left that impression. And I would also like to say that I do not believe those rumors of them offering non believers a complimentary cup of grape kool aid, and that those claims have never been substantiated. Can I get an Amen ?
  8. Attacking seems a little strong Mr. Wonderful but you always do have a flair for theatrics. I just found it unusual that a company would want to interview your wife and kids before hiring you. That belonging to a church is considered a mark of your abilities. Then after doing a little research saw that people that didn't join in a praise Jesus prayer were being fired my interest peaked. So when women are claiming they were being let go because management felt their place was in the home you wonder. But having said that doesn't mean I don't like me a chick-fil-a sammich as much as the next gu
  9. I remember going to their first restaurant in Hapeville Ga. it was called the Dwarf House. It was a full service restaurant with china, flatware, waitress the works. Me and my sister loved going through the little 4ft door they had out front. Their main sandwich was the Chick-fil-a but they also had burgers and great pies.
  10. I met a guy at work that tried out for the position. He had all sorts of managerial experience and a college degree. He went to at least 5 different interviews over a course of four months. Then one day he got a letter saying they didn't think he was a good fit. They have been sued a dozen times for hiring practices, one suit involved a man that was fired the day after he declined to participate in a group prayer during a training meeting. The suit was settled for an undisclosed amount. http://www.workplacerantings.com/chick-fil-as-history-of-workplace-discrimination/
  11. You can be a franchise operator for a mere 5,000 dollars but it's a little like joining the Branch Davidians, the People Temple Catholic Church . Still it's hard to argue with success. Could you pass the test ? How Chick-fil-A Hires: The Christian Way A commitment to the company. A strong belief in “wholesome values”. A willingness to endure a year-long vetting process. And it helps if you are married. the company’s mission statement “To glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us,” it reads. “To have a positive influence on all who come in contact with
  12. I saw it on Tv yesterday.....poor puppy, I think they did take him to the vet.
  13. So he is saying the bed in the trunk is original ? (Is that even possible ?) * Damn I looked it up it is ! (Learn something new every day.) A number of American makers built "coupe pickups" in the 1930s -- Ford, Plymouth, Terraplane. The last sold a $750 Utility Coupe Pickup with a telescoping, three-position box that stored completely inside the car. http://auto.howstuffworks.com/1941-chevrolet-coupe-pickup.htm
  14. You seem to think aboortzion is another government run program like China's one child policy. The question I posed was could immigration reform help to save Social Security , the article I linked seemed to think that it would by increasing the contributor to recipient ratios Others also think that if comprehensive reform were passed it could reduce the government deficit by 700 billion dollars over the next two decades. " The CBO, which estimates the cost of legislation, stated the bill would decrease federal deficits by $197 billion within a decade of passing Congress and an additiona

Earth survived near-miss from 2012 solar storm: NASA Washington (AFP) - Back in 2012, the Sun erupted with a powerful solar storm that just missed the Earth but was big enough to "knock modern civilization back to the 18th century," NASA said. http://news.yahoo.com/earth-survived-near-miss-2012-solar-storm-nasa-222404357.html
  19. Predictions are that at or around age 75 most Americans will suddenly become Liberal Democrats. Report: Most Americans Have Enough Saved For Retirement To Live Comfortably On Streets “Our research indicates that the typical American retirement plan, be it defined-contribution or defined-benefit, should yield enough for a relatively modest, but secure, life of impoverished transience for up to 20 years after leaving the workforce,” said lead researcher Wilton Bracey, explaining that most Americans will be in a position to occasionally treat themselves to luxuries like a cup of coff

  21. Funny that you would blame Obama for not caring about veterans. (Reuters) - U.S. Senate Republicans blocked legislation on Thursday that would have expanded federal healthcare and education programs for veterans Supporters said the measure would have brought the most significant changes in decades to U.S. veterans' programs. For example, it called for 27 new medical facilities to help a healthcare system that is strained by veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/02/27/us-usa-veterans-congress-idUSBREA1Q26O20140227
  22. I remember me and buddy having a backyard campout. That night we cooked the hotdogs mom gave us on the fire. I guess we both had a couple a piece the rest of the package Butch happily gobbled down. We all went to sleep that night in this little pup tent until some time around 2 in the morning when we woke to the most god awful smell you cannot imagine. After 20 minutes when it was safe to go back in we looked for what we were certain Butch had left behind but the tent was empty. Giving Butch the lifetime award of the smelliest gas of all time.
  23. I had a dog that looked just like you Marley when I was a kid, his name was Butch. I hope your Marley doesn't have the problems with gas that ole Butch had.
