Not liking this trick at all, what a waste of taxpayer $$$$. If this was on the ballot in November, it would have passed. I'm so sick of sneaky politicians. Time to change again, this group is falling into the same rut as the previous one. There should be a lot of backlash over this.

I would think the votes have been tallied, don't think there was a big turn out. Such a shame this wasn't on the November ballot, could have saved a lot of $$$

The Petrol prices are "necessarily" rising, won't be long alternative fuels will be cheaper than Petrol. It's all been explained to us, no surprises here.

I think you better re-check who those politicians are and how many of the are part of the 1% you so loathe. Here's a list, since you are a visual learner. Name Party District Net Worth As of 1 Rep. Michael McCaul R Texas $305.46 million[1] 2012 2 Sen. John Kerry D Massachusetts $198.65 million[1] 2012 3 Rep. Darrell Issa R California $140.55 million[1] 2012 4 Sen. Mark Warner D Virginia $85.81 million[1] 2012 5 Sen. Jay Rockefeller D West Virginia $83.08 million[1] 2012 6 Sen. Richard Blumenthal D Connecticut $79.11 million[1] 2012 7 Rep. Jared Polis D Colo

Am I reading the wrong article?? I see nothing that says the cost of fuel is not affecting the economy. And from the link there is this:

Funny thing how your palette and my palette can see things so differently. For me I've had some awesome wines from all over the world, I've had some horrible wine from all over the world, inexpensive and expensive. I used to really enjoy those full bodied red wines, however I've moved on the the blushes and lighter tastes. So sometimes even our very own palettes change. But then again I've quit eating as much red meat and moved on to a lighter diet as well. Love the story about your BIL, sounds like he got told. LOL Too bad he had a temper tantrum and refused to even taste, I don't t

Never went for the front loaders. Got a great deal on a Whirlpool from someone that bought one of those front loaders. Only paid $40.00 for it and another $40.00 for a fix on the lid. I'm betting they are regretting getting rid of it now.

Why is this topic still open?? Just sent a third request to have it closed. I also pm'd Pubby to see why it's still open. I guess it's because I'm conservative.

Just sent a second request for this to be closed, I did not start this topic.

Amazing the most Progessive party tends to ignore the very people they say they care about. It's all glitter and unicorns until they visit a tent city or see homeless people living in abandoned buildings with no water or electricity. It's easier just to pretend they don't exist, or let the government will take care of them so they don't have to.

One time we were burning limbs and someone "accidently" put a couple of those 1 lb propane cylinders in the trash pile. I'm sure our neighbors were wondering what that was about. Thank goodness we were far enough away no one got hurt. They were LOUD. May have just been some fireworks, especially with the following sounding like firecrackers. I'm guessing some kids were having some fun.

I really don't think many on here care how many houses people own, occupy or where they buy their wine. I think it's more of the "better than you" attitude and the lies mis-truths really go to the credibility of the poster. It's pretty hard to believe someone when they've back tracked on their stories one time too many. The Mr. Jughaid comment comes to mind. Live and let live just don't expect us dumb little red necks to understand any of that highfalutin stuff. carry on.

Start the tomatoes now, I buy most of my seeds from Walmart or Elrods (non-GMO). You might have to buy pepper plants, they're finicky and it may be too late to try to start them from seed. I usually start my squash and cukes about the 3rd or 4th week of March. Sew corn directly into the garden after the last frost, you have to plant 3-4 rows to get good corn, you cannot plant a single row.

This is exactly why I don't like to click links on here. The "My Link" thing scares the bejesus out of me. Yikes!!

Will Gov. Deal follow Florida's Rick Scott's decision to expand medicaid
tundra replied to gpatt0n's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Let me see if I can make this easier for you to understand............ You have 100 people making 100,000.00 a year, they pay taxes. You have 25 people making 25,000.00 a year, they pay taxes. They are upside down because there are less of them and they make a lot less money. Do you now understand why a state with fewer people, making less $$$ would receive more government funding?? -

Come on, the entire state of Mississippi has about the same amount of people as Chicago, now compare the income levels of those that live in Chicago and Mississippi?? When you have less people making less money of course you aren't going to pay as much and you're going to need more help. -
:clapping: From what I understand the only elected representative that may be voting for this is Paulette Braddock, the rest are voting no.

Did you even watch your video?? The district attorney's are against this bill as written, what does that tell you?? While Daniel Porter suggests there should be some improvement in transparency and accountability of where the money is spent, he quotes the law and gives you the info needed. 37 states use a preponderance of the evidence (as Georgia does), some only require probable cause. This is a bad bill because it is about money, just about the money, not helping people.
-
The law as written already does this. You need to watch Pubby's video. They cannot seize your car if you lent it to someone to go to the grocery store. Please everyone, educate yourselves.
-
This is not a good bill. But yes, you are right. Most contracts are also written by attorney's. Most times the folks that make the most $$$ are the attorneys, go figure.
