Feelip, it's all smoke and mirrors. He wants you to believe he's some foreigner when in fact he's nothing but a good ole Paulding County boy. He laughs because he thinks he's so clever.
-
Can you please explain why you go to such great lengths to be so deceptive??
-
OK, I'll try, thanks for the advice. BTW, my last child graduated PCHS in 2005 with a college prep/tech prep diploma.

Perhaps you didn't mean to make it political but when you added this: you pushed a political agenda. The writer wanted you to do that. I hope your son can benefit from this, however your article has little to do with embryonic stem cell research. That is all GHWB restricted, not adult stem cell research. I just tire of 1/2 the story being told.

You're definitely not aware of the school system in Paulding County Georgia, there is only one diploma and it is supposed to prepare them for college or what ever else they may want to pursue. There is no longer Tech Prep and/or College Prep and/or a general diploma. It changed in Georgia in 2007. However that college prep diploma falls way short of getting them ready for college. And yes, some employers are interested in investing in their employees to train them for a specific field. YOU may think the best employee is more versatile, but some people like training in more specific

Now I might be wrong, but it is a system (your word) designed to meet the needs of many, not just a few. Many employers are still willing to pay and train employees that will benefit their business. There are a whole bunch of companies that offer internships and help pay for education. Maybe your business model works differently but that's not exactly how whole the system works. Well not in America anyway.

Not sure what exactly this has to do with stem cell research but it my understanding (and from what I can make out here yours, too) stem cell research has never actually stopped, the government just quit funding it seeing an embryo had to be destroyed to continue the studies. I'm a little confused when you say the life expectancy used to be 35 years and has now grown to 75-80+ but only rich people are going to be able to participate in the future?? Why would you think that?? If that were the mind set wouldn't less fortunate people still be dying in their 30s today??
-
I thought this topic was about stem cell research. The stem cell research GWB never stopped, just stopped the government from funding because embryos had to be destroyed for the research. Oh and in case you didn't know, Iraq is not the first time we've helped liberate a country from an evil dictator and move them toward democracy. So is this a discussion or debate??
-
You do know that Bush didn't prevent stem cell research, right? He stopped government funded embryonic stem cell research. He supported and funded adult stem cell research, like that which you reference in your OP. He took a pro-life stance and was and is still being berated for it. Private companies could always continue their embryonic stem cell research with other funds beyond that from the government.

I would never work for a company like ^ ^ ^ this again. IBM was enough for me, there are plenty of small and mid sized businesses that prefer people that want to work, no matter their degree of education. In fact some are willing to pay for the certification they require. While many may not be capable of a secondary degree or certification, many of those do go on to be successful businessmen. Steve Jobs, Truitt Cathy and Dave Thomas come to mind. I believe the name for them is entrepreneur. I agree with DGITW, there are a slew of educated idiots out there that really don't have

Seattle Teachers Refuse to Give Standardised Test
tundra replied to zoocrew's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Hmmm, teachers not following federal guidelines. Wonder if it will have an affect on their federal funding, nah probably not.............they're union. I still say good for them, but I have a feeling that if this was in a right to work state the MSM would be all over it. -
I know a group that goes to Cloudland Canyon, they shared the campsite with a bear once. JSYK

Zoo's own links say records couldn't be verified, not that they were wrong just slopply record keeping. Yea, right. But hey ZC believes it so it must be true.

Normal warming and cooling of our temperatures have happened since the beginning. I'm pretty sure North America was covered in ice at one time and Antarctica used to have lots of grass. Nothing different than what's been happening for eons. Nothing to see here, moving on.

Just another way for the government to track health care so they know if you're worth scheduling that surgery. We're all a number to them anyway, hopefully it won't be tattooed on us. My group of doctors has access to all my medical records within the group, the GP knows exactly what the cardiologist and urologist have done and prescribed. That's good enough for me.
