  1. WHAT brought this about? Like I just said in another thread. I'm lost???
  2. As is often the case on p.com I am completely lost. In the OP original post I don't read anything political. Actually I don't read anything at all. I just see a great song by a geat group "Alabama" released 20 years ago. Enlighten me please.
  3. Chuck roast cooked in crock pot all day with onions, red potatoes, cream of mushroom and cream of celery soups. Alfredo Fettucini Green beans cooked all day with bacon grease (of course) Rolls Coconut Cake for dessert Surepip, Was the pork tenderloin still medium rare when y'all ate it? I've always thought pork had to be cooked well done?
  4. Is there anywhere online to put in SS# and get an estimate of what one would draw Social Security Benefits? I saw on the SS website where to get an estimate of retirement but didn't see for disability. Any direction or help is appreciated.
  5. Is the bakery in the old Catfish Den bldg on Hwy 92 still the Bumble Bee Bakery? We used to go at least once a week but had not been in awhile until a few days ago. When we walked in we noticed all the "stuff" as in odds and ends that had been for sale were gone. When we entered the bakery it was set up differently. They had just a few cookies in the first cooler section (maybe a dozen) and the cupcakes had been moved to the other cooler. I could tell by looking that the cookies were NOT fresh and looked like if touched they would crumble. We got a cannoli which was good and a red velvet cupca
  6. Actually let's not. I hope all of them have been covered. I for one am not amused and find it disrespectful to those on the plane and families. There was a lot of talk about the Air France plane taking so long to be found. A lot of ppl think this plane is on land somewhere.
  7. I still watch Bonanza in the afternoons. My favorite western growng up was The Big Valley. That was bc of the handsome Lee Majors who was the daddy of all my baby dolls.
  8. I am looking forward to going to Red Lobster before the 25th for the Trio deal they are offering. I already know what I am going to order: Garlic shrimp skewers, shrimp scampi and lobster mac & cheese. I LOVE RL and go every chance I get. I hope the company that bought it keeps the chain and it only gets better and better.
  9. You've got some great ideas on here. If she works for Wellstar (and possibly some doctor or other medical offices) she will need to wear a specific color. I didn't like it when Wellstar first initiated it but makes it easier to know who you are talking to. Congrats to the family and especially your stepdaughter on her major accomplishment.
  10. I wouldn't know. I've never watched an episode of Seinfield nor did I watch your link. But, that is cute. SLANDER!
  11. I haven't seen many cars there when passing by. Glad to hear they are doing good. A lot of the newer (and older for that matter) businesses in the County aren't faring so well.
  12. Thank You for adding that last sentence. I had always thought I liked you but was questioning your stand on being "light in the loafers." You are correct there is NOT anything wrong with it. You will find those folks to be the most compassionate and considerate individuals towards ALL humanity. BTW, to educate you Clay Aiken was the runner-up to Ruben Studdard on the 2nd season of American Idol.
  13. Mrs, G there WAS a thread about the kidnapping with several comments on it. Not sure what happened to it but I read it the day the incident happened. It said the "father" was drunk and kidnapped the baby from it's mother.
  14. Phones are still not working. I'd like to make an appointment after reading all the nice comments about the vet. Having a good vet is the same as having a human doctor. Got to have a relationship with him, feel comfortable and trust him. Sounds like this is the right place for my babies with fur.
  15. Thank You. I would think Audrey would be eager to spread this update.
  16. When and where does the hotdog girl set up in Hiram? What condiments does she offer? I love a good slaw dog. But when in Hiram I typically run in Sam's and get a hotdog and coke for $1.79 (I THINK). It is CHEAP and good. ETA: For the record I don't like Nathan's but love Bruster's ice cream!
  17. WRONG!!! I do NOT have a "beef" with Audrey's and thoroughly enjoy their food. Home cooking at it's best. But, I do NOT eat ANYWHERE with a Health Score less than 95 and MOST DEFINITELY WILL NOT EAT WHERE THERE IS A FAILING SCORE. I don't really care the WHY. So, my question was a legitimate one that Audrey's didn't seem eager to answer and let me (and everyone else) know the score was improved, NO it's not personal but sure would become so if I ended up in the ER with food poisoning, LPPT. TRASHING? Absolutely Not. Asking ONE question that I had a right to ask about THEIR Failed Health
  18. As always sounds WONDERFUL. What was your last health inspection score? I haven't seen anything posted on p.com since your failing grade. I am sure it has come up and am sure I am not the only one wondering what that recheck was.
  19. THANK YOU for posting. I can't find previous threads on my phone. My thought was: HERE WE GO AGAIN. Geeezzzzzzzzzz
  20. A bit off topic and I apologize for the hijack but have you ever wondered HOW someone is so lucky to get their mug shot on the evening news??? I mean dang, there are 1000's of folks in Metro Atlanta that get traffic tickets, attempt to rob someone or a business, flee the police, etc, etc, etc. Yet a select one or two are "featured" and get their story along with their pretty face fill the TV screen. How lucky can you get????? Same goes with the Health Scores. OOPS.
  21. I NEVER and let me repeat that NEVER shop Wal-Mart. They spend millions of dollars a year to brainwash the American people that their prices are lower than other stores. Yes, some items are, intentionally lower. Matter of fact an ENTIRE isle in the pharmacy dept the company loses money on EVERY item in that isle. (and the isle changes often) The reasoning is a customer will pick up an item or two or three on that isle and know it is cheaper than a different store. The brain kicks in Wal-Mart mode: "IF THIS IS CHEAPER THEN EVERY THING MUST BE CHEAPER". As a result the money lost on that isle wi
  22. I was really suprised when all this came down. I have always known James to be an excellent DA and Superior Court Judge with an impectable reputation. That is my knowledge and experience with him anyway. These underhanded actions to assure Elizabeth got the Judgeship just seems out of character. I have no doubt she would make an excellent Judge in due time. But, I do not think she has the experience to assume the position now. As someone else pointed our her experience is in real estate law and she has no experience in criminal law. At 33 years old her knowledge and experience to fall back on
  23. I have to strongly disagree with you. That one with double "J" name in Hiram behine the drug store is the WORSE. Everyone I know who has eaten there recently has gotten sick afterward, including ME. Won't be going back.
  24. I am lost. What is the name of Cleburne Pkwy changing to and why? And why would part of the road be one name and part be another? Taking lessons from Fulton County?
