They look just like a green bean- except they are a soft yellow color. NO..they are not sold FRESH here in the produce depts. Back in New York State they were sold at produce stands as well as the green beans. They were quite common. We were just down in Florida in March..where I found some at a produce stand...grown down there. I cooked up a lot of them froze some and we brought them back to Georgia when we left.

Tonight..Friday... Hubby is grilling some Salmon from Publix.... And we will have yellow beans and stewed tomatoes with it. Fresh pineapple with some coconut on it for dessert.

I wanted to get the vaccine from my doctor..but she said they normally don't stock it. She told me to get it from Kroger or Walgreens who would be more likely to have it on hand...and she gave me a prescription for it. I have not gotten the shot YET. I know insurance companies do NOT cover the shot. ( It was $250 and Kroger and $225 I think at Walgreens.) Why the insurance companies don't cover this is beyond me..since it is very common for anyone over age 55 or so to get The Shingles. I am 62. I know of several friends who have had this and it is not pleasant to say the least

Prior to 2008 when everything hit the fan... The banks were not doing adequate background and employment checks. Some people were getting home loans that were not even employed. Major banks were selling off mortgages two days after they were signed...then that next bank or mortgage company had it for two months and they passed it on. No one was examining anything. The mortgage companies were buying and trading mortgages like a game of Monopoly. There was NO OVERSIGHT....and the pile of crap grew and grew..with no one caring what was going to happen. Just wanted to fill their pockets

Hubby is grilling pork chops that I have had in some marinade since this morning. Accompanied by some Sweet potatoes and mixed veggies .

The guy at Racetrac last week...March 8th...told my hubby that someone new IS going to reopen Birdies...as a Sports Bar. They have been in there working etc. He doesn't know any more than that .

I think someone asked WHERE this new Aldi is ?? It's just about the corner of Cleburne Parkway and Poplar Springs Rd as you are leaving Hiram. IT's just before the Racetrac . You enter it from 278 OR from Cleburne Parkway.... I live around the corner on Poplar Springs Road...so it will be very very convenient for us. WE did not go YET. We NEVER go to a brand new place for the very first month--- we STAY AWAY. Restaurant or store or whatever. We just don't do crowds well.

GOOD QUESTION We have been looking and looking as best we can to find a place around Hiram where we could buy seafood and fresh fish. Not tilapia...Not grouper Not Pollack The packaged frozen shrimp sold at Kroger and Walmart all comes from China or Thailand...etc.... YET GA is so close to the GULF. Im speaking of getting cooked shrimp..not raw shrimp. THE fish we are seeking is HALIBUT ......like looking for a needle in a haystack in the SOUTH. We did find some at the Ingles near Ridge Road..is that New Georgia ?? BUT it was 20 bucks for two pieces of ALaskan Halibut.

Thanks for answering .about IN TUNE FITNESS STUDIO...having only classes.. I need to use a recumbent bike...cannot do dancing because I have a small tear in the meniscus tendon in my knee. ANY pivoting or twisting motions etc or dancing etc....will rip it further. I have babied this for the last 4 years and not made it any worse. I walk twice a day with my dog.. but DR said if I could get some time in on a recumbent bike it might help with losing weight faster... .NO ..I can't walk faster..IM almost 63 years old.

That is what I would like...to use a recumbent bike..all by myself a few times a week . That place is not too far from where I live in Hiram. I didn't even realize there was a fitness center there. We recently had wings at the DugOut....done just the way I asked..with some sauce on them... They were indeed very good....but they were small wing sections ...... Yes I'll go again....but back in New York State you get the whole entire wing . WE also just last week had wings at Marietta Pizza Company on Due West Road. VERY VERY GOOD....a little larger than DugOut wings..but they came with sauce as I like. They do not carry name brands - HOWEVER - they have contracts with many of the name brand companies to produce their merchandise. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We had a very old Aldi back in my town in New York State. Their produce was never fresh... I used to go for the holidays to get all my baking supplies..at much cheaper prices.. and snacks for road trips in the summer etc. It was an old store....not well stocked. Hubby and stepson left Knoxville a little while ago. This is 1045 AM SUNDAY. They need the exit number to take off I 75 which gets them to Mars Hill Road and then my hubby will know the way home . Many ASIAN countries... highly value education. Their children are expected to excel in school.. The kids learn this from a very very young age..how important school is. It's a societal thing...education is just more valued in those cultures than it is in the US. Our kids value sports , movies, and high tech gadgets ..that's where MOST of our kids place their priorities. It's our culture.
