Don't get me wrong...I have no regard for the opinions of any lemming in favor of Obamacare; but, it seems you are one of the spreaders of the misinformation that you are warning about. -

I'm confused. Momfour made up the story about the shot? -
You should be complaining not about your property tax but what they are spent on - you can bet the S.O. is running on a shoe string while they are wasting tons of money elsewhere.

http://articles.chic...oting-west-side There were 67 people shot over the fourth of July weekend in Chicago. As of yesterday, 982 people have been shot this year in Chicago. The mere fact that we have even heard of Sanford. FL should be embarrassing. If such numbers were being reported in the Eastern Hemisphere we would be sending troops under the UN flag.

It is a scam in this sense: the car's pollution systems are working fine; however, because it is not keeping statistics for our huge bureaucracy it is deemed unfit. The whole purpose of the law was to limit vehicle emissions. Yet my car is spewing pollution and is exempt while your pathfinder, a much more efficient car, is deemed a "polluter" . You can bet your life that some bureaucrat knowing nothing about cars or emissions made the rule in an attempt to justify his ginormous salary.

Genetically Modified Grains - What's your take on them?

Hybrids and GMO are not even remotely related. It is possible for a hybrid organism to occur naturally. The chances of a cold water flounder mating with a strawberry are pretty remote. -
I think you need to check your facts...bombs are not illegal. that should be pretty obvious - if they were illegal then how in the world would someone have just BOMBED the marathon?

She's right you know...it wasn't the pressure cookers that did the damage. IT WAS THE BALL BEARINGS AND NAILS! WE NEED BALL BEARING AND NAIL CONTROL.

Wasn't there an appliance repair place that would pick-up broken appliances for parts in Paulding? Thought I saw something about that on pcom. I've got a whirlpool duet sport front load washer with a broken tub support - so I bought a new washer. the electronics and the rest of the od washer are still good - but I think it would cost more to repair than a new one.

Okay, I want to laugh...but I shouldn't...just don't...not funny....not going to laugh...no...I won't... let's stick with plan A, holding an aspirin between the knees.

If those flat nose are steel or aluminum case (silver case) they are junk anyway - I bought some of those because they were cheap. They were constant feed problems even though my weapon was of high quality.

My previous response answered you question. The hysteria above leads me to believe my response was above your comprehension. I've got to go to work so I don't have time to dumb it down right now.

The Paulding County DOT has the plans for you to see at the Taj Mahal and they were extremely patient in explaining what would be where. If you live along or near 92, it's going to be ugly - you should go see to determine if you should get out while you can. I was very impressed with the DOT, that's county tax money well spent - at least on the people that work there.

oh, you're right. I see. You mean like how it's illegal for certain people to possess a gun and so they don't. Hey! Why don't we make crime illegal! That would solve everything! You should probably just follow the debate of Mr. Dis and I, we'll let you know if we need clarification on something.

Licenses and tags are taxes, not products provided by private companies - there is no comparison. If you think mandating any private product does anything other than drive the price up - you are being unrealistic. You seem to be thinking that Uncle Sam butting into the free market has solved the situation you describe above - but the reality is, the very same type of people who were without insurance before it was mandatory are without insurance now. So in your scenario above, if you have not taken the responsibility to protect yourself, the gov't solution is to put the uninsured in jail an

mandated auto insurance was part of a slippery slope that led us toward mandated health insurance which will lead to who knows what. I am not a sovereign citizen or whacko like that - but allowing any gov't to mandate the purchase of a product is a bad idea. The free-market was working just fine prior to mandated auto insurance. The only thing that was accomplished was that the insurance industry was guaranteed a profit afterward. I don't know if you remember but the insurance lobby was promising cheaper rates during their push for the mandate - "because everyone will be insured and so it'

My only experience worth mentioning: I saw a Mercedes ML320 on a lot. I've always liked those, reminds me of Tonka toys. I looked at it, found a receipt with the previous owner's info on it and called him. He was the only owner before he traded it in on a new one. He said that he loved it, that it was a great car but that the radiator had blown and the cost of repair was so insane that he traded it in on a new one. So someone repaired the radiator, sold it at auction and here it sat in Dallas. The lot wanted 3 times the book value in installment payments and no "cash" price was availab

LOL... me: maybe if I explain it differently he'll get that I believe in small government and personal responsibility. you: K, so he says "day", I scream "NIGHT!' he says "night" I scream "DAY!" he says "night and day" I scream "SQUIRREL!"

I can almost see the slurring in your typing -I hate to respond - but yes, the government has no business mandating insurance products - whether that be for cars or health. What to protect with insurance should be a personal choice. I like my car and if something happens to it, I'd like another one like it - therefore, I choose to insure. If I should cause an accident, I like my house and don't want someone to levy a claim against it to cover the damage that I caused - so I choose to insure. If I drove a 1979 chevette and lived in a rented trailer....no so much.

This is where Obamacare came from. To suggest that you should be responsible for yourself and your stuff and people will go nuts - but what about you protecting ME and MY stuff! it's not fair for you to just take care of you!
-
uninsured motorist coverage. That's what a responsible PERSON should do to protect themselves - not rely on the gov't. Be sure to call your government the next time your 401k takes a dive because of irresponsible money managers and remind them that's it's their responsibility to protect you. I''m sure they'll cut you a check. Oh, wait, maybe "financial harm" wasn't a primary role after all.

I have insurance that covers me being in an accident with someone who does not have insurance. I also had the same coverage before insurance was mandatory. I'm the one responsible for protecting my stuff, and so I do. Whether or not someone has a car insured does not affect me. I cannot imagine how you think that not having health insurance doesn't affect me financially (unless you are the 47%) - I have to pay income tax and a portion of that goes to support emergency rooms that treat those not responsible enough to have health insurance. If you are the 47% already contributing little or
