  1. Well, a mom called me yesterday asking me to do her newborn pix, so Saturday I'm doing a newborn shoot bright and early at 8:30! It's been several weeks since I've been able to actually sleep in on a weekend. Whew! And this will make my 6th shoot in 5 days...I'm exhausted! Hopefully we are DONE house hunting too. We saw a few houses yesterday, and we like one, but hubby isn't 100% sold, so I'm trying to get Mark to show us a few more today that I think hubby will like better. I am ready to be done!
  2. Good point. The thing that comes to my mind is that there's a fair chance at least one person finds the other attractive (I don't mean in most situations, but in some). That can be an issue. Certainly not in every situation, but some people may cross the line if they've been fighting with their spouse. I think that is often how it happens...starts as a casual relationship, but one person is attracted to the other and maybe the attraction even starts off as mutual. One starts having marital problems, and there you go...or maybe I am way off and just need to go to sleep. But just to ad
  3. I think it's really ridiculous. They can mow lawns without a business license or tax ID, but they can't have a lemonade stand? What they need to worry about is adults sitting on the side of the road selling lemonade. THAT I could see the police requesting their permit over. But, kids? Yeah, because you hear about poisoned or contaminated lemonade from lemonade stands ALL the time. They need to focus on the child molesters who are probably not too far from the girls' lemonade stand!
  4. It's totally fine I am actually pretty booked up as far as weekends go, but I usually do have at least a day or two during the week.
  5. We will get you scheduled on Monday. We have an offer in on a house, so I'm waiting to hear back about that before I tell you something concrete...since I don't know what's going to be happening. Can't wait to meet little Kam!
  6. Nothing would make me believe she was a virgin before getting with him, though that is really irrelevant. I think once she saw his workshop and signed up for it, she already had a plan in her head. I think her parents were in on it too. She also looks about 25, so I can imagine what she'll look like when she's 30......
  7. He has a lot of personality when he smiles for us! You are WELCOME!
  8. I paid either $160 or $260 three years ago. I am pretty sure it was $160.
  9. We use Hulu Plus. It's fabulous for shows! They do have movies, but uh........nothing you'd want to watch. Not us, anyway. LOVE all their shows, though.
  10. I'm so pale...I'd be a lobster after that. I'd have to bathe in sunscreen.
  11. Oh, yes, it's definitely about the best OJ you can buy without doing it yourself. But when you're down and out enough to be on food stamps, you need to focus on stretching your EBT dollars and not purchasing luxury items, and I think Simply Orange is a luxury OJ. Lol.
  12. I watched a thing on CNN (I think) that was following several people on food stamps. One was a family of 4 or 5, and the mother was complaining that she only got $800+ per month. I was flabbergasted. I spend about $600 per month on my family of 5, and I'd love to have an extra $200 to spend! The question is WHAT are they buying? Yes, it must be all steak and lobster and chips! Another girl on the show was a single mother of 2, I believe. She was complaining that the food runs out and they are forced to eat cereal for dinner on the last few days of their benefits. Opened her fridge, and wha
  13. Yeah...you are right about full asking price. And we normally wouldn't offer full asking price, and in fact, pretty much every house we looked at we anticipated offering 5-10 thousand less. We offered around 6 thousand less for this house, but honestly, this house is worth every penny they are asking for, so we really do almost wish we had offered full price. We just feel like...what's an extra 6,000 for potentially the rest of our lives in a house we enjoy and has nearly everything on our wish list. We haven't found anything close to this house for the money and all the things we need. The ho
  14. We put an offer in on a house that's pretty much perfect for us. It has everything we've been looking for, and it seems every house we really like has no back yard. This one has a huge one and is very private. My only concern is that we didn't offer full price (something we regret a little now), so we're worried someone may see the house tomorrow or Tues and offer higher. We're going to be really disappointed if we don't get it, so good thoughts are appreciated!!
  15. That's great! I hope the family continues to get good news and that he's on his way to a full recovery soon.
  16. Said a prayer for him. How heartbreaking and sad. But God can and does work miracles. Hope to see a positive update from you soon...
  17. I have really long hair...I use something by Garnier...it's in a spray bottle. If you don't spray a whole ton, it won't make your hair crispy...just soft and wavy.
  18. Offering a special because I LOVE photographing couples. Couples are the easiest portrait sessions for me, and I just enjoy them! If you book a session now through the end of August, receive a 1-2 hour session for only $75! This is an incredible deal as I charge $100 for one hour regularly. Spots for July are going fast, but August is more open as school is starting...however, I will not be doing sessions the first week of August.
  19. Anyone? Or can anyone at least tell me how they like the children's museum? That may be our only option, but I don't want to spend $50 if it isn't worth the money.
  20. Anything within reasonable distance for kids to do? I have an engagement session today at Piedmont Park. It had to be rescheduled, so this is not a day that I wanted to do it as we're celebrating our son's birthday (which was on the 27, but we didn't get to do anything then), so I wanted to see if I could sort of combine that with an activity or fun thing to do in the area of the park...within 5 or so miles... Know of anything? I had planned on Imagine It, but I read a lot of reviews that have turned me off, like it being one giant room. I'm not sure I'd like that. I've been to several oth
  21. ?? What do you mean nevermind? It is up to age 18, so 22 months is fine
  22. We are sort of in the same money predicament. We are trying to move, so we are looking at houses, and we have the required 5% down, but we are planning on putting 10% down, so I FEEL like we are broke and can't do anything as I want to keep as much money available for moving and buying our new house as possible. The summer has really consisted of video games and fighting amongst the brothers. I feel terrible about it. I think I need to make it a goal to help them do one fun thing each day, even if it's just running through the sprinkler or doing chalk on the sidewalk. My little boy is 6 a
