  1. Mark and his partner showed us three houses today and was awesome. I somehow screwed up the appointment time and thought we were meeting at 2:30, but it was supposed to be 2. Mark was very understanding and was a pleasure to work with today! Anyway, I really recommend them...
  2. I thought I had 2 boys I was going to photograph, but one I haven't been back in touch with. I'm photographing a newborn boy today, so I only have one spot left...
  3. Aww! Thanks! It was fun meeting you...I'm sure we are going to be buddies :-) You are DEFINITELY winning right now. Lol! There are quite a few people trying to "play," but you definitely seem to have the most nice friends to like the page for you! :-) Contest is running until Sunday at noon for anyone else interested. Just get your friends to like the page and say you sent them!
  4. See if this link works... http://www.facebook.com/pages/SnapCandy-Fotos/176125799112214 I think some people probably try to type Snap Candy instead of SnapCandy. It's one word
  5. I'm not sure of the address...it's white on the outside I think...with a porch that wraps around one side...has a baby car on the porch. But I am not crazy about the house...but it's big and I like the amenities, and I think part of the reason I'm not crazy about it is the low ceilings and the decor...can change the decor, but can't change the ceiling
  6. HAHA! I know what you mean I've never done a FB contest and never participated in one, but I can imagine it's stressful to "compete."
  7. Trying to get some more exposure on Facebook as I have gotten several clients recently from there. Just get the most friends to like the FB page, SnapCandy Fotos, by Sunday at noon and get a free 2.5 hour session at up to 2 locations of your choice with outfit change if wanted....within 10 miles from me. Comes with a CD of images! Tell your friend to like the page and say you sent them!!! Contest just started this morning, and I had my first stranger liker (lol) a bit ago. Good luck!!!
  8. Yeah, that is the only issue...and it is a big one for us. There is a nicer house (way nicer, actually) than ones in there that has been on the market for a few months (no idea why unless something is horribly wrong found during inspection), so we may look at that one first. Only thing is I believe it only has 4 bedrooms with no bonus rooms, and we really need a 5th room. You told me that last night on Facebook But thanks! I'm glad to hear your input on it... There is one for sale in there right now that I think has potential...if you don't pay attention to paint colors and
  9. Thanks for your input. I was considering the n'hood because I know several people in there, one of which is one of my son's best friend's family. And I do like the more expensive houses in the neighborhood...not so much the cheaper ones. I'm looking at some homes more expensive than the ones currently in there, but I don't want to rule it out because of price...I like the idea of the playground, pool, and tennis court...
  10. Anyone live in there, and how do you like it?
  11. Thanks! I did call him yesterday. I'm excited, and we are going to be viewing some houses soon! I have found some BEAUTIFUL houses for 150k give or take a few thousand!
  12. I don't like it when someone cancels on you at the last minute...
  13. I hate it when my husband wants to "have alone time" and expects me to be enthusiastic about it when he has treated me like less than I deserve. Maybe women would be more into it and more willing to do certain things if we were treated properly, and not just right before and after getting what they want. Tip: If your woman isn't doing what you want, you may have to look at how you have been treating her in general on a *consistent* basis. Are you being helpful to her? Are you thoughtful? Are you treating her like the princess you should treat her as? Like your wife and not a toy? And
  14. Well...1 bay of the garage has already been converted and sided over on the outside. We use it as an office/theater room. We could convert the other bay, but it's really the kitchen and bathrooms and bedrooms that we need more space in. With having 3 young kids, I wouldn't want to move them down into the garage...or move ourselves down there either. I'd like to be on the same level of the house as them. We also are good friends with most of our surrounding neighbors, and I really would like to get away from living next to them. It's definitely nice and has its perks, but I feel like we lo
  15. Thanks for all the tips and advice! I am definitely probably going to use a property management company. My mom and her twin sister own a lot of commercial and rental property out of state, but my aunt is the one who handles most of it. It has definitely been up and down as far as getting and keeping good renters.
  16. We did lose over half the value. About 65%. But I don't want to just walk away...I want to at least try to get it rented and keep it rented. I don't want to ruin hubby's credit, and we have always paid everything and on time, so I don't want to start with a house foreclosure... But moving for us isn't just about the market and the current prices of other homes way may buy. It's about the fact that it's time for us to move...we've been here 6 years, and it's time to go...we had 1 kid when we moved in, now we have 3, and there isn't enough space for our standards...we have 5 people in a
  17. Which is why I said I'm nervous about the idea. But I can't let that keep us from moving. If the market doesn't recover until 2030 as predicted, we'd be here until then...that's how much our house is worth compared to what we paid. So...we can stay here and be stuck and miserable, or we can move and rent this house out and hope for the best. A lot of people are doing it and having success with it. I have a close friend who has kept hers rented with no issues for the past 2 years...and our houses are almost identical.
  18. It does make sense...for us. We wanted to move 2 years after we bought the house, but we decided to wait and get more equity. Mistake...then the market tanked. We have 3 kids and have outgrown our house, especially as I'm about to have an in-house studio as well... We can't sell our house with as underwater as we are...there's no way. We don't have the money to pay the difference and take the loss. So, the only option is to rent our house out and keep it as a rental property until/if the market recovers. We'd also like to be closer to hubby's job as he works 30 miles away in Marietta.
  19. We can afford ours...we just want to move and have wanted to for a few years now. I agree with sticking to your obligation. Which is why I am so nervous about the thought of renting our house out and buying another. I don't want it to go into foreclosure if we get renters who decide not to pay and we have a long lapse in between getting someone else. We could afford 2 mortgages for a while, but I'm not sure how long we would be able to do that since we are not in that situation yet...
  20. I think I have 1 session taken, but I know there's someone else out there who has a newborn boy or knows one!
  21. I don't think that part will be too much of an issue as my husband makes a lot more money than he did when we bought this home, and we could have qualified for more when we bought this one. He makes close to double when he did when we bought this one... I think we'll qualify, and I think we will be able to buy another, but I am worried about the renting part. Could we qualify to have this mortgage and another? I'm pretty sure we can...but that doesn't mean we can afford to have the renters not pay. We need renters who will stay a considerable amount of time and pay the rent...I know we cou
  22. I need to add that we have excellent credit...have never missed a mortgage payment in 6 years or even been late. We have not overdrafted in our bank account in 7 years and always pay our bills on time and have no debt other than our house. I hope it can work...so many good deals out there, and we really could use more space with our family of 5.
