There is an app for the iPhone and there is also a "Kindle for PC" app. If you do a google search you should be able to find it. My preference is an actual book, but it isn't always practical to carry a 300 page book with you. Having said that, my preference is the Sony ereader because you can actually "check-out" ebooks from your local library. You can also add ebooks to it from multiple sources. The Sony ereader is the only one out there right now that allows you to borrow ebooks from the library. Ohhh and there is a neat little feature that I am sure most of the ereaders have~~note taking

Soooo, when were teenagers out playing in fields where there is no water for miles near the border? I mean, Come on...

I think if they are jumping fences and running/hiding in the desert that would be a pretty good indicator... But why would they be afraid to go out? My reply indicated the weapon was for the home not necessarily on the person. And to be honest- I would feel more secure knowing that if I were in a convience store that was being robbed there would be many more people there with a gun than just the idiot trying to rob the place.

If there was a law mandating that all citizens had to have a firearm in their home--as a criminal-- would you still break into someone's home hoping they were the one who decided to break that law? Would you really want to take that chance? Not all criminals are stupid (they are the ones who get caught). If there was a mandated law to carry--I think there would be a BIG change in attitude. Think about this--if there were a law permitting citizens in Arizona and Texas to open fire on any illegal on American soil who crossed illegally--how many illegals would still take that chance?

I was just sitting here thinking about how wonderful Christmas was this year when a thought occurred to me. Of all of the time and money that was spent buying all those wonderful presents for everyone--how many of them were returned to the store, hid away in a closet, or sold online? Which made me realize that the best Christmas present ever is time spent with the ones you love. It can't be taken back, hid away, or sold online! I just got home a few minutes ago from taking pics at Sweetwater Creek. I did about 20-30mph coming back over to Ridge Rd area because I knew the roads were getting slick. The trick to getting up an iced hill without sliding all over the place is to keep the vehicle in motion at about 5mph...The snow is beautiful but unless you are looking to increase my husband's workload for Monday(he is an auto appraiser)I would advise anyone to stay home...Merry Christmas!!

We went last year and realized that they really didn't have that much to offer. So after we left we decided to stop by one of the stores and they had the same stuff just a bit cheaper. To me, even the arts and crafts arent that good anymore or they are just wanting too much $$..so we decided that we wuld just go up and hit the stores to get what we want and forego the "fair prices".

Yep- we stayed in a hotel last month and I came back COVERED around my waist in bites..Apparently I am allergic to their bites and it caused MAJOR itching that turned into welts when I itched them. Took about a month for it to go away...It was horrible..I have read that they are next to impossible to get rid of..They can live in a sealed up mattress cover or a year!

I love her writing. I have read most of her books and they really make you take a deeper look at yourself. They are wonderful for portraying some of biblical characters in a way that you can understand how the culture was in that time period.

I've seen a red-tail at Sweetwater diving for fish. Also saw a couple of blue herons over there. I got about 5 feet from the heron to get a picture.. Pretty cool!

There are always 2 sides to every story and no matter who you hear it from you will only get 1/2. Things aren't always what they "seem" to be. Maybe the husband carries it because in Iraq he knew without it he might not survive to come home and he feels like that still even though he isn't over there anymore. It takes a longgggg time to get over what war does to you. Would you be able to go to a foreign country and shoot their women and children? But that is what alot of our soldiers have to do.
