  1. Thank you to all of you. It is one of my passions in life...
  2. I took these this week and just wanted to share...Enjoy! I was about 5 feet from this heron when I snapped the picture..
  3. This woman who wants to call herself a "mother" left her 4-5 year old son in the truck by himself with a 50" Tv in the bed of the truck (I am guessing the TV is the reason she didn't take him into the store)...tag # AMPAW... oi hope the police caught you on 278 when you left and gave you a ticket for not taking responsiblity for your kid!!!
  4. I have NEVER had a ticket (or even a warning-perfect driving record) and I have been driving for 16 years. The time that I got pulled over the cop didn't even have the decency to give me a warning. I guess he was mad that I had such a perfect driving record. All I did was not wait the 2 secs at the stop sign and it was 10:30 at night! not like there was a bunch of traffic around and I was in danger of hitting anyone, but nevertheless I owned up to it because I did run the stop sign and proceeded to get my first ticket ever!
  5. It reminded me of Christmas time when I was a little girl. It was amazing! So pretty to look through the trees into the forrested areas and see the snow untouched and glistening...
  6. Whether you believe in unseen spiritual forces, either good or bad, does not negate the fact that they exist. You can believe that elephants are pink because that is what you have always been told but that doesn't change the fact that they are grey. Believe as you will, but those things will NEVER come into my house...
  7. and they said we don't need God in schools...
  8. Wow. those are great! Looks like you had alot of fun too!!
  9. Here are a couple of up close pictures..It was cold but beautiful..
  10. What was funny was that I was at the top yelling down to the kids not to go down there because of the ice.As soon as they got back to the top of the steps I took off and went to see how bad it was and to see if I could get better pictures. When I got back to the top my 14 yr old was standing there giving ME the 3rd degree about how I coulda slipped and fell over the fence, could broke my neck, etc..and all this mom could do was stand there and laugh....
  11. Thanks and yeah..was holdin on to the fence for dear life! LOL..
  12. Here are a few pictures from last weekend! hope you like em... Walkway at Dry Falls--Frozen solid! Dry Falls from the deck
  13. A doctor can choose to treat you for as many symtpoms as he wants to. No one dictates to him what he can treat and what he can't. However, there are different levels of office visits that he can charge for. If it is a multi-symptom visit he can charge the higher coded rates and get paid. It sounds to me like he is trying to make more money by charging you more copays and if the dates of service are different then he will get paid more. Example:if you go in on Day 1 and he treats you for 2 symptoms he can charge the higher rate (let's say $200) with 1 copay (let's say $20) or if he breaks it up
  14. We came by there and saw about 5-6 police cars with cops all over the parking lot wondering the same thing and just figured it must have been another robbery....it's getting ridiculous!
  15. Aldi has been a store in my hometown for over 20 years. It is a good store if you are on a tight budget and don't have time for coupons. The food is a "B" grade quality which means that it is all generic. You may find 1 or 2 items in the whole store that are brand name. You have to put a quarter in the buggy to use it but you get it back when you return the buggy (I think more stores should use this idea to keep the buggies out of the parking lot and off of peoples' cars). You also either bring your own bags, use boxes found in the store, or you can purchase paper and plastic bags there. Gro
  16. Can you stand a couple more. These are so pretty it's hard not to share them! The sunrise on Lake Toxaway..
  17. OMG...I had sooooo many of those stickers. We used to trade back and forth when someone got a new pack with a bunch of the same ones. I think my book is still in my closet and that was 25 yrs ago..LOL
  18. Thank you but all I did was capture the beauty of what God created. It was amazing to just stand there and listen to the enormous amounts of water flowing. You could hear the falls from where I took the first picture of the lake. It was so peaceful. I am already planning our next trip maybe around Feb to see what it looks like with the ice and snow.
  19. Yeah, but I think when you are tired of the always rushing syndrome, a change of pace is a good thing...
  20. That is Upper Whitewater Falls at 411 feet it is the tallest waterfall east of the Rockies. It is located just outside Cashiers, NC. The picture above that is the lake just before you get to Whitewater Falls.
  21. It is prime time to be there. I want to live there sooooo bad. It just seems like a much quieter and wayyyy more beautiful way of life. I'll bet the snow up there is incredible as far as scenery goes. Have fun and be safe on your trip!
  22. Here are a couple more, I couldn't resist showing these off!
  23. It was along US 64 from Highlands to Brevard.
  24. Here are some pictures I took last weekend in N. Carolina. It was absolutely beautiful up there.
  25. It is so funny how only the "yanks" know about euchre. I would love to play as well. It is my favorite card game. I tried to teach my hubby and kids, but to no avail because it did not involve an electronic device!
