I did not see the ones last night. But around a year ago I saw the exact thing you posted on Davis Mill Road North. I actually started a topic about it on here if someone could locate it. I remember topping the hill, watching them come off of the ground, form a line, hover for a moment then take off slowly toward Hiram-Sudie. It was very strange........and no, I was not under the influence of anything.

I did not get a chance to eat there when the new owners took over. Their hours said they were open everyday but yet they were never open when I went by. I wish someone could make that place a success. A good soup/sandwich/salad place could make a killing there.

You may be able to find one. Is it just for you or are there kids involved? I ask because I have seen places that I would live by myself but would not want to raise kids in that area.

They probably aren't worried about selling a car. Their mentality has shifted to "If we fail, we will get bailed out." Just my opinion.

Spent more...all cash. Then when the spending was done my car broke down. Too broke to fix it this week but I Enjoyed a great Christmas with the family so I will not stress over it.

I completely understand what you are. However, in the persons defense sometimes that is an invalid argument. The last 2 homes that I lived in included use of computer and internet in my rent. Both of them were a roommate type arrangement and I did not have to pay for the use of the net. Just a thought. Carry on.

Great analogy. I also am in sales. They overkilled it and lost their audiences attention. Now we have no interest in listening to the rest of the hoopla. It sounds very similar to another bill of goods that was sold recently; "If you like your plan...you can keep your plan." Just my opinion.

We have 3 hotels that are always empty in our town. If someone were smart they would broker a deal and build a small airport near the sports complex and fly the people back and forth from Paulding to the Sports Complex. OR, people could just realize that Cartersville is only minutes away from the complex and already has hotels and restaurants. I am just not seeing this as a plus for Paulding......sorry. If I had money to invest I would buy the old Lodge at RedTop and market it to these people.

My dad was a Pastor at a Church in Smyrna when I was young. He would always go to Fat Boys after the service. If someone needed him they would just call the restaurant (this was before cell phones of course). The person that stated Come and Get it are the same people that ran Fat Boys, is correct. Come and Get it is awesome. As far as Smyrna goes......I went there a few weeks ago and never plan on going back.

We all know that the airport is needed. How else would we get people into the County to see our new park, amphitheater and sidewalk? Won't it be nice to be able to hear the planes overhead as we are walking and playing in the parking lot of the courthouse?

Almost as dumb of an idea as the sidewalk to nowhere and the ridiculous airport. Do something useful with our tax money. Build a revenue generating, family-oriented place for families to come and enjoy. Look how much money and traffic places like the Atlanta Zoo and Wildlife Animal Safari bring in. The Animal Safari is in a Podunk town but yet people are always traveling to enjoy it. We need something fun, useful and prosperous in our town.
