  7. The cops would have called and did call DFCS to assist and BOTH did come to the store. The two agencies work hand in hand when it comes to a child being abused. Management would have NO authority to detain ANY ONE inside the store who was not a shoplifter.
  8. I have never asked the screaming child but I HAVE called DFCS to come to a store about a screaming child who was having the hell beat out of them with a bollo bat. Regardless of what the child did the punishment was harsh and inappropriate. Not to mention IF the parent was beating the child like that in public I hate to imagine how the child is treated behind closed doors.

There are "key words" that are required to be considered "disabled". Believe me, I have seen people apply for years who had very specific and disabling conditions but continue to be denied. Then, I've known people who were also disabled and deserved to receive benefits who were approved on the first application.   15. Are the parents income considered when a 20 yr old "child" applies for student loans? I was surprised with MY information, SS# last years income, tax paid, etc was asked on an application for student loan. I am NOT the one going to school nor needing the load. Any experience with this?
  16. The employer does not offer short or long term disability. They changed the health coverage in July and went with a company without those benefits. OF COURSE IT BENEFITED THE EMPLOYER!!!!   17. She has a tear in the rotater cuff and she is in retail sales. So it is possible to settle and continue her employment? I would think that might be based on her employer and them not being happy with her settling and forcing her to quit??

  20. As I told the other poster I was mistaken about WC not paying for the actual therapy. But, she is confused as to why they will not pay for her to go for the therapy. IF it were not for the injury she would NOT be off the clock for that period of time. I know it isn't much but that hour or two 3 times a week will add up and be a huge cut in the paycheck.   21. Her company manager where she works told her this and then when she called the WC caseworker they told her the same thing. Only I misunderstood her and they are only saying they will not pay for her to go to PT during working hours. They will pay for the actual PT but not her time to go. This is just crazy since they WILL pay for her to go to the WC doctor and/or orthopedic surgeon they referred her to.
