  1. I work for one of the largest Alcohol (Wine, Beer and Spirits) manufacturers in the world. As such having this certification allows me to move up in the industry as well as be taken more seriously when selling our portfolio to major customers nationally that are already very educated in wine and spirits. Especially with me being one of the younger people in the industry, this help customers respect and believe what I say as I am more highly educated than the average salesperson and consumer. Plus, if I ever need to find new employment, this helps greatly improve my chances of getting a new
  2. I know many of you may not care, but I just found out that I passed the Certified Specialist of Spirits exam and now I am internationally recognized as a C.S.S. For those of you who do not know this involves knowing everything from the history, production, taste, and all other details of all Spirits and liqueurs. After taking a 1 hour 100 question test I passed a test that 40% of people fail. Next up is the C.S.W (Certified Specialist of Wine). I failed it by 2 questions last time (70% of people fail this test the first time). Sorry, I just had to share.
  3. I will go next week and check them out, but from what i have read most of the overall store changes will not be seen for a few months or so. I am interested to see how it will be later into the summer.
  4. This is the type of reasons why my entire family switched to Apple years ago, we haven't even thought about the word Virus in years.
  5. I am going to have to give this place a try. Unfortunately my wife cannot tolerate any spicy heat to her food. So i will have to try this place out when she isn't home or when i am out with friends.
  6. And quite proud of it. I am not wasting my time with the problems and inefficiencies involved with inferior and competing products. But all that aside I am praising a man, who is no longer involved with Apple at that, who was able to sell extremely high margin products to a mass of people in very small places. While you are correct they are tiny stores selling smaller products, the fact that most people who are attracted to Apple products find the stores to be exactly what they are looking for. This is what Ron Johnston is good at, making the retail experience exactly what the desired cust
  7. Think what you want, but it is the most successful retailer in the world. Worth more per square foot than any other store in the world, even Tiffany's. You may have gripes with it, but the overall plan for the stores has been a very simple and to the point system, which is the approach being taken with JCP.
  8. I am excited. The new CEO is one of the smartest marketing executives to come along in many years. He is single handedly responsible for the shopping experience at all Apple stores. While you may not be an Apple fan, you have to agree that the store is designed to cater to the customer. He is very in touch with knowing what the customer wants. I foresee this being a great turnaround point for JCP.
  9. This is the reason i do not touch Androids. Another example of them not "Just Working"
  10. DON BROWN FOR MAYOR!!!!!!! I personally do not know Don, but I do know he raised an amazing Son and Daughter, and his family is as good as they come. Everything I know of him, he would be 1000x times better than the craziness that has occurred in Hiram over the last couple of years. I say again, DON BROWN FOR MAYOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Ok, let me rephrase this, there is not a mandatory waiting period. We were at Franklins in Athens and by the time we checked out, the check was done. Granted there can always be a system error to cause a delay, but barring that it is a very quick process with NO mandatory wait period like in some states.
  12. My wife and i just purchased guns, and even without a permit there is no waiting period. You have to wait about 15 minutes for a background check, but other than that you can walk out with a gun and get a permit later. The permit is just to carry it on you hidden. You can have it in your car hidden or not without a permit in the state as well.
  13. Who do we talk to about getting that law changed. I have been telling my wife for a year or two that we needed some form of package store at Crossroads.
  14. It was where Staples is. But it closed years ago.
  15. Yep. That is exactly what I was saying. Notice that most ingles are built right next to the old location usually on the same property. They own the land and lease out space. They are making money even when stores underperform.
  16. Ingles doesn't generally close stores FYI. Unlike other grocery stores, they could lose almost all business and still pull in a profit based on the ownership of the property. I call on Ingles corporately and trust me, it doesn't take much to keep those stores open. They have much much much worse stores than that one that are still in business.
  17. As for the Save a Lot stores, they are always in some of the lowest income and worst parts of town. Every one i have ever been in has been very dirty and very unkept. I think that the Family Dollar may change its mind or not last long now that the Food Lion is leaving. I cannot foresee another store going into the FoodLion after so long it staying empty and with nothing else being developed anywhere near the location.
  18. The closest will be at 120 and Johnson's ferry rd. in Marietta. It is about 35-45 minutes from Hiram.
  19. You do not need to convert them, you only need to put them into iTunes to get them onto your iPhone.
  20. If you tell us what kind of phone it is we can tell you more of ALL of the possibilities.
  21. Go to Ingles and get Tisdale for the same price as Three buck chuck and it is much better juice and many more varietals. They have a moscato coming in march as well as a chocolate wine.
  22. We are watching it now, we had it recorded. I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!
  23. My view has absolutely nothing to do with the News but in first hand experience. Take two companies like Publix and Kroger. I do not know but maybe 1 or 2 kroger employees that would not be fired within a week at Publix, but because of the Union they literally don't have to have work very hard and can get away with murder with no disciplinary actions. I worked at ATT and the same thing was true. If an employee was ever held accountable for their actions they immediately screamed Union and were rewarded for it. I know people that make 16-20 dollars an hour at Kroger and pride themselv
  24. None that i know of. I generally only go to places that use Teamtrivia.com as the format, but even outside of that very few places hold Trivia on sundays.
