  1. Great deal on the paper towel! I use about a roll a day...tree huggers do not like me!
  2. My Honda burned oil, too. I always had a case in the trunk!
  3. Wow! I am SO thankful for excellent ins thru my husband's job at AT&T! When we had our first 2 kids, we paid $265 out of pocket ($15 copay at the first visit and a $250 deductible in the hospital) When the 3rd & 4th came along, we had to pay $320 each (Our copay went up to $20 and the deductible went up to $300) I had c-sections with all 4! I wish the ins would pay for a tummy tuck
  4. Mine was an 84 Honda Accord, white w/ blue interior. I LOVED it b/c I bought it myself...parent's rules: NO JOB = NO CAR! edited to add that my dad wouldn't even let me get my license unless I could drive a stick. This was in case I was ever put into a situation where I had to drive someone else's car. I learned on his Corvette! The Honda was nothing like it...I even taught a few friends to drive a stick in my lil Honda! I was so proud of myself
  5. Sam's club has "click & pull" where you can basically order your items and pick them up. I don't think they bring it to your car. I haven't tried it but would probably spend less if I did! No impulse purchases!!
  6. Thanks, everyone! When I spoke to my friend yesterday evening, her Uncle had another surgery on his leg but they are still going to have to amputate They also took an x-ray of his neck and there is a fracture somewhere. They are hopeful that he may be able to get released next Monday. I think they may delay the funeral for his wife so he can be there.
  7. Naturegirl, when I voted at Ragsdale a few weeks ago, I had to go around back and go in by the gym.
  8. And what will it be like on 9-10-11?! Anyone remember when the MTV VMA's were on 9-9-99? I am amused by crazy number things
  9. I have a very good friend who is like my little sister. Yesterday her Aunt & Uncle were involved in a morotcycle accident, her Aunt didn't make it and her Uncle is critical and is having one of his legs amputated because of the extensive damage. Please pray for this family. They have a daughter, I think she is in her mid 20's, I can not imagine what she must be going thru right now.
  10. Gotcha! Sorry about your dad. Whether it's been one month or 10 years, it's still hard.
  11. I was thinking the same about embalming. When my dad died, he was alone in his home during December. He was laying in the foyer and a teenage neighbor that had been cutting his grass, went to get paid and saw him on the floor. When his autopsy was performed, they could not determine if he had been dead 2 days or 10. The date of death was the 20th when they found him...I think he passed on the 18th b/c I had a very uneasy feeling about him but we were not on speaking terms so I never called.... The funeral home never said anything about a law that they had to be cremamted within so many
  12. So sorry to hear about your neighbor. When my dad passed away in 04, he lived alone and there was a similar situation at his house.
  13. I get pressure headaches. Usually they are pretty bad but not today. We just had a looooong rumble of thunder in Vista Lake.
  14. I carry my stress in my gut, too...and I have been under a lot of stress lately so it has gotten worse. I had an ultrasound done a couple of weeks ago and they didn't see anything so that is why I am going to Dr. Osborn. I think I am having gall bladder problems as well as IBS or something. My sis in law had to have a special scan done since her u/s didn't show anything with her GB and the scan showed it wasn't functioning properly. I hope the medication helps you.
  15. Neal Osborn is who I am seeing! I am so glad to hear he is good! Usually I would say weight loss is a good thing, but not under these conditions....I hope he can help! Good luck to you, Lowrider!!
  16. Not to stray from the subject, but who is your GI doc? I got a referral to one and go next week. The practice is in the new medical building on Bill Carruth. I hope your gut gets calmed! I know the feeling!!
  17. Macaroni Grill used to have an appetizer that was to die for that they no longer carry. It was like nachos but instead of tortilla chips they used something like fried pasta and topped them with all kinds of good stuff.
  18. My niece lives in Rome and got me 2 cakes from Honeymoon when she had a baby shower for me...BEST. CARROT. CAKE. EVER!!! The chocolate cake she got from there was amazing, too, but VERY rich.
  19. Are your items new or used? I would love to get my 2 oldest daughters ipods for Christmas and it would be even better to support a local business!
  20. IMO, you are not missing much!
  21. We just had to replace our fan in the living room b/c it got stuck going clockwise. Makes a HUGE difference!!
