  1. Looks like a tragedy of some kind happened. Paulding county detectives and deputy's are all over the first house on the left of the second entrance. Any idea what's up?
  2. I have teenagers, 19 and 20 year olds (I join them some myself on bass), playing in my basement. My garage would let waaay too much noise out and would certainly result in the cops being called by my neighbors who are pretty close by. And frankly, I wouldn't blame them. But, it sounds like my neighbors are much closer than yours. Here's what I did to try and help absorb some of the noise. My basement is partially under the ground level of my backyard. I installed insulated drop ceiling and then insulated the walls with sound absorbing insulation,( found some on criagslist for $20), then I
  3. I'm not a big fan of bikes either (riding one I mean) , but they certainly have as much right to the road as do cars. Most motorcycle riders I've seen ride them safely. An earlier poster was correct in saying the majority of problems come from car drivers who don't show motorcycles the proper respect. I'm very glad to hear that he is okay. I live in Johnston's Mill as well, second entrance.
  4. Let's see. NAACP, doesn't that stand for "National Association of Always Complaining People"?
  5. I've been a member there two and half years now. If you pay cash up front you won't have to worry about any yearly fee. Ther's a $20 swipe card fee in the begining, but then they'll replace it for you for $5 after that when it gets worn out. Pay $200.00 cash and your off and runnin. For people who pay monthly they have a "Enhancement Fee" of $35.00 per year. Your used to anyway. I go almost everyday. Manangement is great, and the owner is usually always there on Wednesday afternoon/evening. Been very busy lately due to the New Years resolution crown. Hope this was helpful.
  6. I realize that Wal-mart wasn't included in the list. Only Kroger, Publix, and Ingles. Well, wal-mart is cheaper than all three by a long shot. I go grocery shopping every week. I used to go to Publix everyweek to buy items for lunch. they terribly overpriced. I only go there when i have to. I realize some people have various thinkgs against wal-mart, but to me the most important thing is to save money. Saving money is what helps my family the most. Especially in these lean times.
  7. Never heard of ATT/Uverse. I'll have to check it out. I have comcast internet and cable. We all have cell phones in our house so a land line is not needed. Howvwer, I do have Majik Jack for a land line. Never had any problems with it. It is very dependable and only $20.00 a year. Can't beat that... The only reason I haven't gone with Direct TV is beacuse I want to save a little money on a package deal. That's why I have both internet and cable with comcast. But if what i'm reading is true about uverse then I might go ahead and go with Direct TV and then get the uverse for interent.
  8. Here's what a Doctor has to say about the "swine flu". Personally, I would avoid this vaccination.
  9. Drive over to Guitar center on 41. They have the best prices in the atlanta area, no doubt. also the very best selection. If you don't want to drive that far go over to Fret Not in Hiram. He is a really good guy and will give you a good deal and a free lesson to boot. You can get a cheap washburn, Squire, Jackson, etc. they all are made in asia or mexico. But for the money it's the best way to go on a starter guitar. If he really excels then you can get him a more expensive guitar later on...
  10. Automotive electric shop in the area? I'm have some electrical issues with my truck.
  11. You must have seen the same person I did at Birdies Friday night. Man she was howling, and it was awful... We had to leave.
  12. I would think twice before getting that vaccination. Do some research on your own concerning vaccinations in general and this "new" swine flue. Turns out, it's not so new after all. Here's a Doctors perspective.
  13. That is a shame. I would rather see a local business have success than the national chains on 278.
