  1. I wonder how it would have played out if a couple or three people in that theater had been carrying weapons and knew how to use them. Would as many people have been shot, or would the assailant have been stopped sooner? Just wondering.
  2. To my knowledge, I have only met a few of the people on here. I met LPPT and as someone said, she is the full package. Smart, witty, funny and attractive. I met Mrs. Morrison by accident a couple of times and I very much enjoyed meeting and talking to her. (very little politics, just good conversation) There are many who I may not know, but who post here and I enjoy reading what they write. Stars & Dru's Nana and I grew up in the same town and she is a very nice and caring person who's posts I enjoy reading. There are many others who I am sure are the same way and some who m
  3. I will agree that it is stupid behavior (and dumb and every adjective you wish to use), but it is not true that all who tailgate do not know how to drive. As someone who driving is a major part of my job and being a lifelong tailgater, I have to be a good driver to avoid all the accidents that I could have been in by tailgating so much. I know I have a problem and have been working on not being a tailgater for many, many years. I have been going to TA (Tailgater Anonymous) meetings for a long time, but I keep falling off the wagon (or tailgate as it were). Of all the things that ha
  4. Sorry about that. I have been working on it but the progress is very slow.
  5. That's just a trick we pull on you Yankees. Sorta like when we tell them; "you get on I-285 and go till it dead ends and make a left". Before some get all upset, the above is just a joke. My wife is from CO and on a rare occasion we will talk with someone and after she will ask "what did they say?" and I can't figure out why she couldn't understand them, it was very clear to me what they said. I then have to translate.
  6. Age: 54 Books per month: 5-10 depending on the length and subject, no fiction books
  7. Women are ALLOWED to vote??? When did we start that? Miss a little, miss a lot.
  8. Raised in Smryna. (most old timers there know or knew my family) Live off N.Davis and off Poole Bridge. Wife is from Bolder, CO. (yep she's a liberal)
  9. You better check with a prosecutor on that one. I know many cases where past convictions or behaviors were not admissible in court. It is called prejudicial to the defendent. As was stated, it may not come out in court.
  10. As I said before, he can ASK that it be taken off, can't he. If what you say is correct, it is sad that the Hiram PD did not see an issue with this. (heck, even if you are not correct, it is sad that they did not see an issue)
  11. Surely I am not the only one old enough to remember the Coke commercial with this song.
  12. My husband is going to be shocked when he finds out I'm a man. I won't tell him if you won't.
  13. It would all depend on what she looks like and when the wife is supposed to get home.
  14. This attitude reminds me of an old (and I mean OLD) joke but I think it applies here. This man goes up to this beautiful well dressed lady and asked her if she would sleep with him for one night for a million dollars cash and no one would ever know but the two of them. The lady asks, a million cash and no one would ever know? Correct, replies the man. After thinking it over the lady says, yes I would. Would you do it for $50, asked the man. The lady is insulted and replies, NO I would not! What do you think I am? The man replies, we've established that. We're discussing price.
  15. I have meet MS Morrison twice recently. Both meetings were just by chance and neither meeting was at a political function. The first time we met I did not know realize who she was and we spent around 15-20 minutes just talking about our families, where we were from and general conversation. I enjoyed meeting her and I enjoyed our conversation very much. The second time it was a much shorter conversation and at that time I knew who she was and that she was running for office, but we did not get into politics very much. Just some more good conversation and some jokes. There was some politic
  16. Maybe the bank robbers will need some roofing done and see the ad on the car, call Crist for the work, use the stolen money to pay for it and then BANG, the cops get the crooks. I love it when a plan comes together.
  17. The fact that the sign caused you to ask this question is only one reason why this sign is a bad idea. Not that the company donated a car. This is not that tough to figure out, promotion by any company or person by a law enforcement department is just asking for problems. But Hiram apparently doesn't care.
  18. Never defamed a company, in fact I said it was nice. Read the black words and not what you think is in the white spaces. I doubt that the city would keep the sign on the car if the company said, we are donating this car and we do not wish to have a sign advertising our name. BOTH the city and the company are, in my opinion, making a mistake by allowing this sign to remain. In my opinion, the city should have never put it there and the company should have enough ethics to ask that it be removed. It does open the door for all sorts of problems in the future and I am sorry you cannot see tha
  19. That is nice that he donated a car. But when you put you a sign on a police car supporting a business, you are on very shakey ground. It may not be illegal, but it dang sure is bad judgement. I would think more of someone who donated a car and requested that their name NOT be used. If you can't see where there is a potential conflict of interest, then you have a problem with your ethical outlook.
  20. Well said. Spend some time around these "teenagers being teenagers" and you will see every type of crime that is on the books. And they will laugh while they commit them. My dear wife is one of those who lives in a "bubble". As she says, "I just don't want to believe that people can be that way." Very few of the thugs take the oppertunity to make the change when it offered and I admire those who do make that choice and change. Unfortantly for some, the bad choices they make ensure they will never get another chance to decide if they wish to make a change.
  21. Do you need one with her or will any tape do?
  22. Sorry, I assumed common sense would be used by anyone reading this and not evevn mention shooting while the car was traveling at speed. If you run from the police, I don't care if they shoot or beat ya when they get you stopped. I promise, if enough are shot, less will run. Reminds me of a friend of mine who called me one morning and advised that his son had been arrested by Marietta cops for running from them on a motorcyle the night before. My friend was very mad and kept saying that they had no proof he was the one on HIS (the son's) motorcycle. My question was simple; "was it him?"
  23. I agree with the above post. A 2,000 lb projectile traveling in excess of 100mph stands a better chance of doing major damage to innocent bystanders than the police stopping that criminal by force.
