The exchange supposedly went something like this: Groucho: Why do you have so many children? That's a big responsibility and a big burden. Lady: I love my husband. Groucho: Lady, I love my cigar but I take it out of my mouth once in a while. They did not take the show off the air, as You Bet Your Life was a prerecorded show and this exchange, if it did happen, did not make it on the air. One of the reasons the show was prerecorded was in case something like this happened, Groucho was capable of saying anything and in order to keep out of trouble, the show never aired live. Groucho -
I will never admit to liking it. Gotta keep my old curmudgeon reputation intact.

Alright I listened to it. I figure if old, old Citizen Cain can listen to it I could to. That is more of a song than most of the ones I hear these days.

I just now got what this is about. No, I didn't read the lyrics, it's hip hop and I figured that I couldn't relate. (well, I can't, I don't guess, but not for the reasons I was thinking of) And no, I didn't see the two guys kissing on the front of the video thing. And again no, I didn't relate the Rod Stewart song, The Killing of Georgie, with the hip hop song. I just figured TJB was responding with a Rod Stewart song that "was ahead of it's time". This is what happens when you get old, you are the last one to know what is going on in a conversation that you are involved in. Happens

My wife and I had this discussion just last week. I told her about the teacher, when I was in high school, that punched a trouble making kid in the chest. She got all het up and started saying how that was wrong and he should have been fired and more ramblings along that line. My response, "All I know is that kid never caused anymore problems in that class and caused less problem in his other classes." I love my wife dearly and she has helped me be a better person, but sometimes she is just wrong. -
Anything before 1981 is better than whatever they are doing today. Here are just three, I could list 100's: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7T5hYlUsQ0s I know, I'm an old gumpy man.

I need more ammo. And I guess I will have to pay a "sin" tax. I guess the 2nd amendment is a sin. -
You do know that there is a 2nd Brandy's in Cartersville, right?

Two of the states that have the worse thugs and the toughest gun laws. Figures, they won't be happy until the whole country is like Chicago and Newark. -
n February of 1960, the popular host of The Tonight Show, Jack Paar was prevented from telling the following joke on TV by the NBC censors. In response, Jack Paar walked off the show. (he did return a month later and was allowed to tell the joke at that time) Now we flash forward to August of 2013, where anything goes on TV, cursing, nudity and from what 70 seconds I saw of Miley Cyrus on the MTV show the other night, simulated masturbation. My questions are these: Are we a better country 53 years later? Morally, ethically and overall, are our children better citizens, or were our parent

And sometimes an honest, "I can't really give you a good reason for why it is the way it is. That is just the way the company wishes to handle the situation.", helps. It doesn't make it OK, but at least the customer realizes that you can't do any more than you are doing. -
My grandfather is supposed to haunt his house also. He built it himself and it is next door to my mother's home. The current owner is a believer and so is my cousin's son, who wasn't born when my grandfather died but saw him one night while staying in the house. My granddad was a tough old bird, they better behave.

You are on a roll lately. BTW You have to admit that TP has some of the best topic titles there are. -
That was a good one. Here is one that golf legend Lee Travino tells on himself, he says it's true. Lee started in golf working on the golf course cutting grass. He still to this day cuts his own grass. Years ago when he was out cutting his front yard, a lady driving by in a big, shiny Cadillac stopped in front of his house, lowered the window and asked, "Excuse me, do you speak English?" Lee responded, "Yes M'aam, I do." The lady then asked, "What do you charge to do yard work?" Lee said, "Well, the lady of the house lets me sleep with her."

When you go to return yours, stop by and pickup ours. It has been two years since we had Direct TV and the dish is still on the roof. -
Yep, these are all true. Q: What gear were you in at the moment of impact? A: Gucci sweats and Reeboks. Q: Are you sexually active? A: No, I just lie there. Can you give us an example of something that you've forgotten? Q: How old is your son? A: Thirty-eight or thirty-five, I can't remember which. Q: How long has he lived with you? A: Forty-five years. To me the bottom line of customer service can be summed up by an experience I had at a hotel. I am in hotels a LOT and I stay with the same couple of chains, so they get a lot of business in a years time. Let me say up front, that I have been told by many many hotel people I am a great guest. (you stay in them as much as I have over the past 20 yrs and you learn that if the air works, the remote for the TV works, the internet works and things are fairly clean, it's all good) I stayed one time and while I can't remember what my problem was, it most likely wasn't something huge or I would -

I was very well behaved, well until I started yelling while telling my buddy the story and he pointed out that I went about 15 minutes too long trying to get the issue resolved. We call these type of stories "5 Easy Pieces" stories. -
I come by not wanting to through things away by heredity. My grandfather never through anything away and neither did my dad, so guess what? My wife has helped with this, but I have a hard time with it. I just know we will need IT (whatever it is) as soon as it is gone. BTW People who lived through the great depression learned to never through things away. So that is where my granddad and dad got it from.
